Thanks for a successful Turkey Trot

On behalf of the Cheney High School Cross Country program we would like thank the community of Cheney for their support of our 50th annual Turkey Trot Thanks giving morning. There were over 300 walkers, joggers or runners present for this community event that benefits not only the Cheney Food Bank but also our cross country program at Cheney High School.

We would like to especially thank Safeway, Mitchell’s Harvest Foods and Cheney Trading Company for turkeys and food donated as door prizes for this event, as well as Jim Missel and Stan Kerr who gave us numerous Blackhawk/EWU items to share. A special thank you to other sponsors: McDonald’s, Cheney Federal Credit Union, Cheney Reality, Cheney Realty Estate Management, Copy Junction, Jackie Olson State Farm, Owl Pharmacy, Rosa’s Pizza, Varela & Associates, Inc., Snap Fitness and Stadium Sports for their support.

Thank you again to the numerous volunteers who helped us with registration and setup of the course that morning and to the Cheney Fire Department who send us off with the siren to officially begin the race. We are already looking forward to next year.
