George Caudel

George Caudel (Age 78) Passed away June 8, 2012 at his home in Cheney.

Mr. Caudel was born March 30, 1934 to George and Bernice (Hanson) Caudel in Oakland, Calif. He was an only child, his school years being spent in Long Beach, Calif. 

George worked for the Proctor & Gamble Company in Sacramento, Calif. for 31 years.  He retired in 1991 when he moved to Cheney. 

He had a love for classic Mustangs and restored several of the cars himself. He was known by his neighbors for his meticulously groomed yard.

George is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce (Scaggs) Caudel. Children: Linda (Bob) Cross of Sierra Madre, Cslif., Robert (Kim) Caudel of Cheney, Michael Caudel of Beaveton, Ore., Mark (Ingrid) Caudel of Cheney, Renee (Kennie) Melton of Modesto, Calif., Laura (Brian) Wentz of Cheney. Eleven grandchildren;  Jason Wutzke, Jenny (Rick) Gonzalez, Jeffery Cross, Robert Caudel Jr., Daniel Caudel, Matthew Caudel, Natalie Caudel, Christopher Melton, Melissa Melton, Parris Wentz and Amber Wentz. Five great-grandchildren;  Nicholas Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez, Jesse Gonzalez, Alivia Caudel and Sawyer Caudel.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23 at the Cheney Church of the Nazarene, 338 Betz Rd. Cheney Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.  Online guestbook at cheneyfuneral.com.
