Medical Lake shooting case continues to develop as new information emerges

The investigation into a Dec. 19 residential burglary and teenage shooting in Medical Lake continues to develop.

One arrest has been made in the case, which covers two residential burglaries Dec. 15 and 19, at a home on the 600 block of North Grant Street.

Around 4:50 a.m. on the morning of the 19th, police received a call that reported a residential break-in involving two teenage boys. The complainant said her husband, Justin Brown, was holding one of the boys in their backyard. Minutes later she said the suspect had been shot in the back.
