The first round of snowfall to stick in Medical Lake activated the city's snow plows, but the procedure hasn't changed in recent years.
Crews in the city plow from midnight to 6 a.m. when snowfall is heavier than 2 inches on arterials and 4 inches on residential streets. Streets with a right of way of 60 feet or less are included in the plowing procedure. On the city streets, Medical Lake receives no additional help from the county.
