StageWest is moving, but still needs a permanent home

StageWest Community Theatre of the West Plains is moving once again, to perform our plays, back at The Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Sixth and Elm.

StageWest is a not for profit community theatre and our mission is to keep the prices of our plays down low so that we can hopefully bring theatre to those that cannot afford to go to the more lavish theatre shows.

Therefore, we feel that we can get more people excited about live theatre and have them want to become involved.

Showalter (Hall at Eastern Washington University) felt they needed to raise their fees and though we fully understand why they felt they needed to do that, unfortunately our little theatre group cannot afford to perform there anymore, since our little theatre usually works in the red as it is.

So out of the goodness of its heart Emmanuel Lutheran decided that we could perform our shows there, once again.

We are still looking for a permanent home and our dream is that we get a permanent home that we can share with artists, musicians, singers etc. In other words make it the Art Center of the West Plains. So if there is anyone out there that is so inclined to help

us to obtain that goal we would be eternally grateful. The building only needs to be somewhere in the West Plains. Just contact anyone from our group and let them know you're willing to be of help to us.

In the meantime we will struggle along and keep performing where we are as long as the church allows us to.

Our next performance will be in October and I know it will be a great one. Watch this paper for information about it.
