New building going up at Cheney vet hospital

Cheney's Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital will have a new home in a matter of months.

Folks who rely on Blackhawk to keep their animals healthy won't have to go far when the clinic opens in its new location; it will be located right across the driveway from the current building at 423 W. First St. Site preparations began last month.

The practice has been a mainstay in the Cheney community and on the West Plains for over 25 years and was purchased by Dr. Eric Wert in 2001. His wife, Stuart Wilson, is the office manager. She said the plan to build a new building start...
