Henry “Hank” Damrow passed away Aug. 7, 2011 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane at age 79. He was born April 7, 1932 in Imperial, Neb. Hank married Geri Thornton on November 22, 1980 in Spokane. He spent 30 years as a high voltage lineman for the Department of the Air Force Civil Service. Hank was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a kind and gentle giant who adored his family and was loved by many. Hank is survived by his wife, Geri Damrow of Spokane; sons, Daniel D. (Sandy) Damrow of Wilmington, N.C. and Jeff (Jennifer) Thornton of Bossier City, La .; daughters, Dara (Clay) Worth of Blue Springs, Mo., Tina McCollum, Karen Foster, Camille (Bob) Watson, Valarie (Dana) Potvin, all of Spokane and Maxine (Dale) Ammons of Bossier City, La .; numerous grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woody and Jan Goddard; sister, Donna Morgan and grandson, Shane Holcombe. A Memorial Service was held Friday, Aug. 12, 2011.
