Cheney

Aug. 8

Craig C. Hicks, 24, was arrested on the 200 block of Oakland Street for driving while license suspended (DWLS).

Aug. 9

Desirae A. Gutierrez, 26, was arrested on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road for DWLS.

Possible animal abuse by a child was reported on the 200 block of Oakland Street — was sent to attorney for review.

Aug. 10

A duffel bag was found on the 300 block of Sixth Street.

Travis R. Guerin, 22, was arrested on the 3000 block of Meadow Glen Lane for trespassing.

Joshua A. Hash, 21, was arrested on the 500 block of Sixth Street for domestic violence-related assault.

Aug. 11

Scott D. Childs, 25, was arrested on the 21000 block of South Mullinix Road for DWLS.

Aug. 12

Marjorie A. Dupree, 43, was arrested on the 400 block of West First for DWLS.

Domestic violence — verbal only — was reported on the 200 block of Cheney-Spangle Road.

Daniel D. Sallee, 20, was arrested for a Spokane County felony escape warrant on an original robbery charge.

Possession of a controlled substance was reported on the 1100 block of Oakland Street. Investigation was pending.

An intoxicated man jumped from a moving vehicle on the 700 block of First Street — subject was transported to the hospital with injuries.

A two-vehicle non-injury collision occurred on the 500 block of West Fifth Street.

Aug. 13

A green bicycle was found on the 2300 block of First Street.

Aug. 14

A black bicycle was found on the 700 block of Cedar Street.

Domestic violence — verbal only — was reported on the 100 block of North Fourth Street.

A patrol car backed into a farm plow on the 16000 block of Betz Road. Damage was minimal.

MEDICAL LAKE

Aug. 8

Police stopped a vehicle on East Golden Court and North Stanley Street. An adult male driver was cited for going 40 mph in a 30 mph zone, as well as not having proof of insurance.

A complainant called regarding noise coming from Pioneer Park, on the 500 block of East Barker Street. Officers warned the parties at the park about the city's noise ordinance and were asked to leave the premises.

Aug. 9

Police stopped a 1994 Honda Accord. A 43-year-old female was issued an infraction for traveling 42 mph in a 30 mph zone, and for not having proof of insurance.

Aug. 10

A complainant reported excessive noise coming from Pioneer Park on the 500 block of East Barker Street. Police arrived and found some juveniles skateboarding where it is not allowed. According to the complainant, a horn was sounded occasionally. The situation was cleared with a report.

A 13-year-old female complainant reported that a 13-year-old male was throwing rocks at windows. The male was outside with his mother. The complainant went on to say that the male was assaulting the mother, who had broken eyeglasses. Windows in the vicinity had been broken with a pitchfork. No arrests were made, however, and the incident was cleared with a report.

Aug. 11

Police stopped a 1994 Honda Civic on East Lake Street and North Stanley Street. The 31-year-old male driver received a non-hazard ticket.

A male complainant reported a vehicle prowl between Aug. 5 and 11 on the 900 block of North Wilcox Street. The vehicle, which was parked in front of the complainant's home, had been left unlocked. A GPS was reported stolen, which had maps for Alaska on it. Police retrieved items for fingerprinting and filed a report.

A Toshiba laptop was taken from a living room on the 400 block of North Silver Lake Avenue. Police retrieved the purple computer's serial number and took a report.

Aug. 12

A female complainant reported hearing a shot fired in the vicinity of the 700 block of East Joshua Drive. Officers went to a gated residence and spoke to two males, 47 and 53, who said that it was a BB gun.

Aug. 13

Police stopped a 1999 Ford pickup truck on North Board Street and East Lake Street. Garcia C. Chacon was cited for third-degree DWLS and then released.

A male complainant reported malicious mischief on the 100 block of South Hallett Street. He said that someone slashed the tires to his 2001 Ford Taurus overnight, and that it is an ongoing problem. Police took a malicious mischief report. There are no suspects at this time.

Aug. 14

A male complainant reported malicious mischief on the 100 block of South Walker Street. He heard a popping sound, followed by the sound of a window shattering just west of his location near Medical Lake. This was the second incident in two days. A nearby bar had just closed, but no one was seen in the immediate area.

A male complainant reported malicious mischief on the 100 block of South Hallett Street. He wished to add two broken windows to his previous report.

A female complainant on a mobile phone reported reckless driving on South Graham Road and East Highway 902. The gray Toyota Corolla was never located.

Police stopped a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am on Morhardt Road and South Salnave Road. A 19-year-old male received an infraction for traveling 44 mph in a 30 mph zone.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

Aug. 10

Officers took a third-degree malicious mischief report on the 1400 block of South Albert Street.

Officers took an animal complaint report on the 12000 block of West Sunset Highway.

An adult male was arrested for third-degree DWLS on Highway 2 and Hayford Road.

Aug. 11

An adult male was arrested for third-degree DWLS on Highway 2 and Ziegler Street.

Aug. 12

An adult male was arrested for a warrant – MIP - on Lawson Street and 10th Avenue.

Officers took a report of third-degree theft on the 2700 block of South Garfield Road.

Aug. 13

An adult male was arrested for unlawful imprisonment - domestic violence - on 8th Avenue and Lawson Street.

Officers took a report of third-degree theft on the 13000 block of West 10th Avenue.

Officers took a traffic accident with injuries report on Highway 2 and Lawson Street.

Aug. 14

An adult male was arrested for third-degree DWLS on 9th Avenue and Russell Street.

Aug. 15

Officers took a report regarding underage drinking on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.
