Norman Eugene Retherford, age 71, of Copperas Cove passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at his residence.
He was born April 28, 1940 in Davenport, Wash. to Jesse Allen Retherford and Frieda (Radamacher) Retherford. He will always be remembered for his very outgoing personality and his ability to make friends wherever he went. He enjoyed working with metal and wood. Norman served in the United States Army and retired as a First Sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his bride of 45 years, Connie Retherford in 2009, his parents and a brother. He is survived by two sons, Curtis Retherford of Austin and Norman Retherford, II of Leander; two daughters, Donna Ocha and her husband Martin of Wisconsin and Dianna Motley and her husband Mike of Leander; a brother, Jack Retherford of Spokane, Washington; six grandchildren, Joshua, Adam, Matthew, Noah, Hayden and Jenna and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were be 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Cove Church of the Nazarene, 964 West highway 190, Copperas Cove, Texas 76522. Interments services will be in Spokane Memorial Gardens in Spokane, Washington at a later date.

A funeral service will be held locally at the Cheney Nazarene Church at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 18 followed by burial with military honors at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Kory Heal officiating.
