St. Paul's Episcopal Church

The Fifth Sunday of Easter. Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule, priest, will preach and preside. Child care is available.

Cheney High School Baccalaurate Service is Sunday, May 22, at 7 p.m. at the high school. Our own Rev. Killy Balabanis will be part of the service, playing the cello.

Attention college students: Every Monday night at 6 p.m., gather with Rev. Soule for Bible study, short prayer service and dinner in the Parish Hall. Learn of service opportunities. Come and bring your friends.

Narcotics Anonymous meets in the Parish Hall each Tuesday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m.

Fellowship Breakfast every Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Join us for good food, fellowship and discussion. Come and bring a friend!

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Join us at Emmanuel Lutheran Church for worship May 22 at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Easter. During the Fellowship hour we will congratulate our high school senior graduates; Peter and Walter for their successful studies. Our annual election meeting will follow the graduates' reception.

Baccalaureate service for Cheney High will be this Sunday, May 22 at 7 p.m. at the CHS Little Theater.

Mark your calendars for StageWest Community Theater open auditions on Friday, June 3 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 4 at 1 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Church of the Nazarene

Please join us at the Cheney Church of the Nazarene for worship and Bible study programs throughout the week; child care is provided. Sunday School (infants through adults) begins at 9:15 a.m. Worship services begin at 10:30 a.m. On Wednesday evenings, you are invited to attend an evening of fellowship and study for all age groups: Kids Konnection (ages 3-12) and Youth Group starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening adult Bible study programs begin at 6:30 p.m. 338 Betz Road, Cheney, (509) 235-6261. http://www.cheneynaz.org.

United Methodist Church

There is much to do in terms of both worship and fellowship in the days ahead at the United Methodist Church.

Saturday morning the Birthday Bunch will go the Buckhorn Inn in Airway Heights. The no-host breakfast begins at 9 a.m. and will honor May birthdays.

Please join us for a very special worship service this Sunday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Terry Hall will lead us as we welcome a family from Liberia who will bring their stories and musical gifts to our service. You will hear a mix of African, reggae and gospel music as they share their message and songs. Child care will be provided during the service. Prior to worship each week there are Sunday school classes, an adult class beginning at 8:30 a.m. and classes for 3 years and over beginning at 9 a.m.

Sunday afternoon is the Annual Spring Tea at the church at 2 p.m. This year's theme is “School Days” and we will be honoring anyone who taught at or has memories of attending a one-room school. We will be receiving gifts of children's swimwear and towels at the tea to be donated to Cheney Outreach. Tickets for the event are $5.

Sunday evening, the United Methodist Student Movement meets at the church at 6 p.m. All college age folks are welcome. Later Sunday evening many from the United Methodist Church will be attending and helping at the Cheney High School Baccalaureate.

Wednesday evening, May 25 at 6 p.m., there will be a special dinner to honor our choir, inspirational music director, Mary Jane Servais, and marvelous pianist Joanna Cockrum. Please plan to be a part of this time to recognize our incredible musicians.
