Laying the groundwork

A worker smooths fresh concrete that will support the floor of the multipurpose room in the completed Wren Pierson Building community center in Cheney. Project foreman Mike Vig of Kearsley Construction said wide swings in temperature during the last few weeks have slowed work, but the project was on schedule. The community center is expected to reopen this summer.
