CHENEY

Dec.13

A store video surveillance caught two people stealing beer and alcoholic energy drinks on the 1100 block of First Street. Jay D. Pennell, 30, was arrested on the 1200 block of First Street for theft and two Spokane warrants for theft.

Jullian A. Armstrong, 24, was arrested on the 2000 block of First Street on a felony escape warrant from the Department of Corrections and for failure to check with his probation officer. He was taken to the county jail.

A stereo, subwoofer and cords were stolen from a vehicle on the 400 block of North Sixth Street. Cheney High School video surveillance showed a red Chevy extended cab, long bed pickup from the early 90s as a suspect vehicle. The incident was under investigation.

Theft was reported on the 2200 block of North Sixth Street. The incident was under investigation.

A license plate was found in Spokane and turned in to the Cheney Police Department. The owner was contacted.

Dec.14

Meshion Michael L. Woodruff, 18, was arrested on the 600 block of Second Street on a Spokane warrant for shoplifting.

Two garages were broken into on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway. Nothing was taken.

Tractor wheels, car batteries and other items were reported stolen from the zero hundred block of Spokane Street. The suspect has been identified.

A two-vehicle non-injury collision occurred on the 1000 block of First Street.

Dec.15

Theft of a snow blower was reported on the 500 block of K Street.

A wallet was reported stolen from the 2700 block of First Street.

Quinn R. Griffith, 36, was arrested for domestic violence-related assault on the 2300 block of University Lane.

A two-vehicle collision occurred on the 100 block of Cheney-Spokane Road. A vehicle driven by James M. Doyle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle. Two adults and an infant child were taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center with neck, shoulders and back pain. Doyle, 61, was arrested for DUI. He had minor cuts but refused medical treatment.

Dec.16

Nicole R. Anderson, 26, was arrested and taken to the Spokane County Jail for probation violation.

Dec.17

An individual failed to pay for a laptop at Spokane Rental Co., then exchanged the laptop for services rendered. The suspect's information was given to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.

Residential burglary occurred on the 1800 block of Third Street. Pills, DVDs, XBox games, iPod charger, keyboard and checks were stolen.

Residential burglary occurred on the 800 block of West First Street. A witness confronted people they knew in the victims trailer. Victim identified two laptops and other items missing. Kevin L. Yocham, 21, was found and admitted to stealing the items, identified the other person involved in the burglary and was arrested. The other suspect left before the police arrived.

One vehicle struck a fence on the 100 block of College Street. No one was hurt.

Dec.18

Domestic violence was reported on the 1300 block of Third Street—verbal only.

A snow blower was stolen on the 1000 block of Moyer Street.

A violation of a court order was breached, the individual left before officers arrived.

Residential burglary occurred on the 400 block of North Third Street. A garage was broken into but nothing was taken.

A cell phone charger was stolen from one vehicle and a backpack, books, calculator were stolen from another vehicle on the zero hundred block of North Third Street. A binder that was in the backpack was found on Second and D streets. This case is under investigation.

A knife, night stick and hand cuffs were stolen from a vehicle on the zero hundred block of Second Street. The vehicle's owner was not affiliated with law enforcement.

Dec.19

An assault was reported on the 800 block of West First Street. The known suspect has not been located yet.

A 16-year-old female was arrested on the 100 block of Walker Street for domestic violence- related assault.

MEDICAL LAKE

Dec. 14

Police arrested David J. Brault, 44, on the 700 block of North Stanley Street on city of Spokane and Department of Corrections warrants as well as for DWLS.

Dec. 15

Police received a report from a woman that her ex-husband was taking things from her storage unit on the 700 block of East SR 902. Officers discovered that he was allowed to take certain items under a court order.

A woman called to report juveniles throwing ice chunks at cars on the 900 block of East Lake Street. They were gone when officers arrived.

Dec. 16

Officers assisted Airway Heights police in trying to locate a hit and run driver near the 100 block of North Hayford Road. Witnesses said an SUV had crashed into a light pole and drove off with extensive damage.

Domestic violence was reported on the 800 block of East Barker Street. A mentally disabled man was taken into protective custody.

Malicious mischief was reported on the 600 block of North Grant Avenue, where four tires were slashed on a car.

Dec. 17

Rebecca L. Castanea, 30, was arrested on multiple city of Spokane warrants on the 100 block of South Lefevre Street.

A 2000 silver Toyota was reported stolen on the 1000 block of North Lindsay Street.

Dec. 19

Burglary was reported on the 300 block of East Lake street. A male and female, both in their twenties, were seen climbing through the window of a house. They were gone when officers arrived.

Police responded to an accident involving an Airway Heights fire truck near South Craig Road and West Thorpe Road. The truck had slid off the road while responding to Eastern State Hospital; one firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Dec. 20

Police responded to the 1800 block of West Depot Springs Road where a woman reported her teenage son had threatened to kill himself. The juvenile was taken into protective custody.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

Dec. 15

Officers took a report of taking a motor vehicle without permission on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.

An adult male was arrested for third-degree DWLS on 19th Avenue and Pogue Street.

An adult male was arrested for a warrant for fourth-degree domestic violence/assault on the 1800 block of South Pogue Street.

An adult male was arrested for third-degree DWLS on Highway 2 and Ziegler Street.

Dec. 17

Officers took a report of a traffic accident with damages on Garfield Street and Highway 2.

Officers took a report of vehicle prowl on the 1900 block of South Lawson Street.

Dec. 18

Officers took a report of an argument on the 12000 block of West 13th Avenue.

An adult female was arrested for third-degree DWLS on Hayford Road and Sprague Avenue.

Dec. 19

Officers took a report of a missing person on the 12000 block of West Frank Street.

Dec. 20

Officers took a report of a domestic dispute on the 13000 block of West 12th Avenue.

Officers took a report of a recovered stolen vehicle on the 700 block of South Horton Street.
