Police reports: 11/15 to 11/22

CHENEY

Nov. 15

Harassment was reported on the 2600 block of Eaton Lane. A female reported receiving sexually explicit text messages from an unlisted number.

David C. Dias, 21, was arrested on the 700 block of Chestnut Street for fourth degree assault and interfering with reporting, both domestic violence.

Two counterfeit $20 bills were confiscated and forwarded to the Secret Service from the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road.

A vehicle that was reported stolen in Spokane was recovered on the 2600 block of First Street. Officers took fingerprints off the vehicle.

A 1991 tan Honda Accord was reported stolen from the 2600 block of First Street. The vehicle was later recovered in Spokane and officers believe the incident was related to the previous report.

Domestic violence was reported on the 200 block of Cheney-Spangle Road—report only.

Nov. 16

Theft of a backpack and laptop computer was reported on the 400 block of Fifth Street.

Vicious animals were reported on the 1300 block of Gary Street after two dogs barked at children passing by a home. The incident was forwarded to SCRAPS.

A blue mountain bike was reported found on the 200 block of West Second Street.

Twenty-five gallons of gasoline was reported stolen from the zero hundred block of A Street.

A two-vehicle hit and run collision occurred on the 300 block of Erie Street. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 17

Officers responded to a medical call on the 1100 block of Oakland Street.

Sarah D. Lee, 21, was arrested for assault and malicious mischief—both domestic violence—on the 200 block of Betz Road.

A vehicle was keyed on the 600 block of C Street.

Theft of jewelry and coins was reported from the 100 block of Nolan Brown Place.

Nov. 18

Bryce J. Biggerstaff, 26, was arrested for driving while license suspended (DWLS) on the 1500 block of Washington Street.

Residential burglary was reported on the 100 block of Nolan Place. Jewelry, a television, DVD player and computer were taken.

An assault involving a 17-year-old male at Cheney High School was handled at the school level.

A two-vehicle hit and run occurred on the 800 block of Cedar Street. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 19

A missing person was reported from CHS. The juvenile female later returned home.

Officers assisted EWU police on the 200 block of Cheney-Spangle Road.

Theft of 32 XBox games was reported on the 200 block of Seventh Street.

A license plate found outside of Cheney on Lance Hill Road was returned to Cheney PD. The owner was found and notified.

Nov. 20

Jesse B. Butcher, 22, was arrested for DUI on the 600 block of Third Street.

A two-vehicle collision occurred without injuries at the intersection of North Seventh and Elm streets.

Nov. 21

Domestic violence was reported on the 2300 block of University Lane—verbal only.

An XBox was stolen from the 1500 block of Ridgeview Drive.

An iPhone and game station were stolen from the zero hundred block of Erie Street.

Nov. 22

Nathaniel J. Schwartze, 33, was arrested for domestic violence-related assault on the 3100 block of Thistle Creek Lane.

MEDICAL LAKE

Nov. 16

Officers responded to a commercial alarm on the 800 block of East SR 902. Wind had blown open the unlocked front door of a business there.

Graffiti was reported written on a fence near East Barker and Washington streets.

Smoke was reported to be billowing from a basement window of the West Lake Hospital. Officers referred the matter to the Fire Department.

An officer issued a citation for an incessantly barking dog to a resident on the 400 block of East Norma Lee Avenue.

Ernest D. Price, 44, was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant for escape from custody and a Spokane warrant for fourth-degree domestic violence on the 200 block of West 4th Street. Officers responded to the residence on a domestic violence call.

Nov. 17

Domestic violence was reported on the 1000 block of East Ladd Street.

Nov. 18

Officers responded to Graham Road after receiving reports of a recklessly speeding vehicle. Nothing was found.

Nov. 19

Burglary was reported on the 200 block of North Jefferson Street. A shotgun was missing after a white male in his 30s was seen running out of the house.

Burglary was reported on the 600 block of West 5th Street.

Officers responded to an attempted suicide on the 900 block of East Lake Street. A woman in her 30s was sent to the hospital in care of family.

Nov. 20

Assault with no injuries was reported at a residence on the 500 block of North Staples.

Nov. 21

Multiple minor accidents occurred in the area from 4 p.m. until about 11:30 p.m. Only one, near the intersection of West Highway 2 and Interstate 90, was reported to have resulted in injuries.

Domestic violence was reported on the 700 block of East Joshua Drive—verbal only with no physical assault.
