Cheney restaurant offers portal to Guadalajara

Mexican restaurants are common in Cheney, and soon there will be a fourth option in the mix.

The Cervantes family, who plan to open their restaurant El Portalito soon at 24 First St., say there's room for them in the Cheney restaurant scene.

“We thought it would be a good location with the college right here,” Juana Cervantes said. Juana's parents, Jose and Juana Cervantes, decided to open a restaurant in Cheney after some of their children went to college at Eastern Washington University.
