During their Oct. 5 budget workshop the Medical Lake City Council heard that the city is solvent, but there's little if any room for expanded services this coming year.
City Administrator Doug Ross said Medical Lake has not felt the economic slump as deeply as in other cities because the city has learned not to rely on sales tax revenue. “We're doing a lot better than most… but it doesn't mean we have a lot of disposable income to play with,” he said.
