Different mediums show area artists perspectives in EWU's ‘Sift' exhibition

Eastern Washington University is presenting “Sift,” an art exhibition featuring works by local artists Mardis Nenno and Mary Farrell. The exhibition runs Sept. 30 – Nov. 11.

Nenno is a ceramic artist with a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) degree from Montana State University and masters of fine arts (MFA) in ceramics and sculpture from Washington State University. She is currently an instructor of fine arts at Spokane Falls Community College.

Farrell works in drawing and printmaking and has a BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and an MFA in printmaking from the University of Cincinnati. She is currently a professor of art at Gonzaga University.

Farrell's and Nenno's works in “Sift” are on display at Eastern's Gallery of Art, located on campus in the Art Building in the Fine and Performing Arts complex. The gallery is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed on weekends and holidays.
