Cardinals' golfer Pendell impresses coach on road to state

Medical Lake golfer Natalie Pendell came a long way in reaching her first state tournament, according to her coach. Nice thing is the junior has one more year to improve and see if she can take herself deeper into next year's event.

Pendell returned from last week's AA tournament at Apple Tree Golf Course in Yakima after an opening-round 109 didn't allow her to make the cut and move on.

Pendell told coach Ivan Gustafson that next year she was going to have a driver like everyone else.
