It didn't take long for Tian Lun Massage to set up shop.
The vacant windows of the former Ready Money payday loan at 502 1/2 First St. were transformed, seemingly overnight, with the installation of signs for Tian Lun and several bright red hanging lanterns.
Business owners Ming Xuan Liang and Fanny Wu said they planned to open the business in the next week or so. Early this week they were setting up furniture and had a box full of flyers advertising the prices for massages.
They will offer foot, chair and table massage in the traditional Chinese fashion.
“You don't take off your clothes,” Wu said, adding that customers could get a short 15- or 30-minute massage during a lunch break or after work to “really relieve stress and relax.”
Wu said Liang is a certified bone doctor in China and the business has a certificate to practice massage in the United States. The two moved to Cheney from San Francisco and Wu said she liked the change.
“People are very nice and the weather is good,” she said.
Massages range from $15 to $90, depending on type and length of time. Tian Lun will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. Wu said walk-ins are welcome.
