Ninth District residents are invited to take part in Rep. Susan Fagan's tele-town hall meeting Tuesday, May 25, at 6:50 p.m.
“For people who are unfamiliar with the term, a tele-forum is very similar to a radio call-in talk show,” Fagan said in a press release. “It's personal and allows callers the option of listening in or participating in the conversation. Our first tele-town meeting in March was a terrific success, and I'm looking forward again to taking people's comments and questions.”
Starting at 6:50 p.m., constituents can participate by dialing 1-877-229-8493 and, when prompted, entering PIN number 15605. Once on the line, callers will be able to ask a question by pressing *3 (star 3) on their telephone keypads. Operators will assist callers to go “live” with Fagan during the tele-forum.
“Our district is among the largest in the state, and rather than having to drive long distances to attend a local town meeting, constituents can conveniently join our ‘virtual town hall' from the comfort and privacy of their homes,” added Fagan, R-Pullman.
At the end of the one-hour tele-forum, anyone who stays on the line can leave a voice mail message with comments, which will be forwarded to her office.
“I value people's views and ideas, and we will listen to every message and respond personally to each caller by e-mail or follow-up phone call,” Fagan assured.
Any questions or comments before the tele-town meeting can be directed to Fagan at [email protected] or by calling 360-786-7942.
