I would like to see a world with more birthdays celebrated every year.

My name is Lori Ruff and I am the team development chair for the West Plains Relay for Life. I am also a member of the “Nite Owl” team hoping to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

I participate in the Relay to honor family members and friends who have cancer. My dad was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2008. He is now cancer-free and participated last year in the Relay's “Survivor Lap.” Sadly, some of my family members have lost the battle. This is my way of...
