CHENEY

March 24

Fourth-degree assault was reported in the 1000 block of Salnave Road.

Accidental damage to a patrol car was reported. A rim was bent when the vehicle hit a curb.

Harassment was reported in the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road. The incident stemmed from a dispute between exes.

Theft of a computer was reported in the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

A suspicious circumstance was reported in the 1700 block of Seventh Street. Middle school students were reportedly bullying elementary students.

March 25

Domestic violence was reported in the 2200 block of First Street—verbal only.

A mental subject was reported at the Cheney Police Department (CPD) and was committed to the hospital voluntarily.

A 13-year-old female was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at Cheney Middle School for possessing a single methlyn tablet.

March 26

Forgery was reported in the 200 block of First Street. Unauthorized checks were being written.

Theft of a magnetic decal was reported in the 1700 block of Second Street.

March 27

Damage to a vehicle's fender was reported in the 200 block of Betz Road.

March 28

Erik W. Dyrdal, 22, was arrested for trespassing in the 2200 block of North Sixth Street.

March 29

Russell L. Thomas, 24, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended in the 400 block of First Street.

A mental subject, reported at CPD, was voluntarily committed to the hospital.

March 19

A female subject was contacted in the area of 900 Lawson Street for an assault. She was booked into Spokane County Jail on the charge of fourth degree assault – domestic violence.

A male suicidal subject was contacted in the 12600 block of 11th Avenue and transported to the hospital.

A female subject was arrested in the area of Sunset Highway and Garfield Road for third degree DWLS.

A male subject was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road.

A male subject was arrested in the area of Campbell Street and 15th Avenue for third degree DWLS.

March 20

Officers investigated a vehicle with an open door in the area of 10th Avenue and Russell Street.

Police responded to a report of noise in the area of 13400 13th Avenue.

Officers were asked to check the welfare of a subject in the area of 12800 14th Avenue. Everything was OK.

A female subject was arrested in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road for third degree DWLS.

A male subject was contacted in the area of 100 North Hayford Road. He was arrested for fourth degree assault, domestic violence, and booked into Spokane County Jail on the charge.

March 21

Officers were called to the 13900 block of 12th Avenue to take a report of a stolen bicycle.

Police contacted two teens smoking in the area of 10th Avenue and King Street.

Officers took a report of a wallet being stolen in the area of 100 North Hayford Road.

Police contacted a male and a female subject in the area of 100 North Hayford Road suspected of passing counterfeit money. Both subjects had warrants and were booked into jail on the warrants.

Amanda G. Ferguson, 28, was booked into jail on the charge of forgery after being contacted in the area of 100 North Hayford Road.

March 22

A male subject was booked into jail on the charge of fourth degree assault, domestic violence, by officers investigating an argument in the area of 2000 South Craig Road.

Officers investigated a commercial alarm in the area of 11300 McFarlane Road. The area was checked and an open door was secured.

Police responded to the 1700 block of Lundstrom to take a stolen vehicle report.

Officers investigated a noise complaint in the area of 12700 13th Avenue.

Police recovered a stolen vehicle in the area of 12500 Chandler Avenue.

March 23

Officers responded to the area of 1700 South Lundstrom to take a stolen vehicle recovery report.

Police investigated a report of a possible driving under the influence call in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road.

Officers were called to the 12300 block of 9th Avenue to take a burglary report.

An alarm in the 12800 block of 12th Avenue was investigated by officers.

Police served civil papers in the area of 13900 13th Avenue.

Officers contacted a male subject in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road. He was booked into jail on a misdemeanor warrant issued by Cheney Municipal Court.

A female subject came to the police department to report her ATM card was stolen.

Officers responded to the 12300 block of 9th Avenue to take two reports of vehicles being vandalized.

Police investigated an alarm in the area of 12700 Sunset Highway. Everything was OK.

March 24

Officers contacted a subject that left an unpaid bar tab in the area of 100 North Hayford Road.

Police took a report of a stolen vehicle from a female subject in the area of 100 North Hayford Road.

Officers responded to the 12700 block of 13th Avenue to remove unwanted guests.

A male subject was contacted in the area of 100 block of North Hayford Road and was booked into jail on the charge of fourth degree assault.

Police arrested a male subject on the charge of indecent exposure when he exposed himself to a motorist in the area of 13th Avenue and Lawson Street.

March 25

A male subject was arrested in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road for third degree DWLS.

A female subject was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of 17th Avenue and Lawson Street.

A male subject was arrested in the area of Sunset Highway and Garfield Road for third degree DWLS.

A male subject was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of Sunset Highway and Garfield Road.

March 26

A male subject was arrested at Sunset Highway and Loffler Street for third degree DWLS.

A male subject was arrested for third degree DWLS at Sunset Highway and Garfield Road.

Officers were contacted by a subject in the 13500 block of 13th Avenue regarding an unusual odor.

Police responded to the area of Sunset Highway and Garfield Road for an argument.

Officers took a juvenile runaway report in the area of 13300 Kinder Court.

A suspicious vehicle in the 13400 block of Sunset Highway was investigated by officers.

Police contacted a subject pushing a shopping cart in the area of Sunset Highway and Center Street. The subject advised he would be returning it to the store.
