CHENEY

March 10

Charles V. Huckabee, 47, was arrested for first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment in the 1200 block of West First Street.

March 15

Theft of health and beauty supplies was reported at Ben Franklin. Investigation is pending.

Theft of a laptop and tailgate of a pickup truck was reported in the 200 block of West Third.

Eric C. McCullough, 28, was arrested for violating a no-contact order at the Cheney police station.

March 16

An unoccupied hit and run accident occurred in the 100 block of Huron Street. No injuries were reported.

A 12-year-old male was arrested for assault at Cheney Middle School (CMS).

William L. Smith, 63, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended (DWLS) in the 200 block of North Second Street.

A 17-year-old female was arrested on a civil no-bail bench warrant at Cheney High School.

March 17

Threatening text messages were reported at CPD.

Whitney F. Adamson, 44, was arrested on a Washington Department of Corrections warrant for escaping from community custody—violating terms of parole or probation—in the 200 block of West First Street.

Harassment—threatening text messages—was reported in the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

John R. Fries, 23, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in the 1800 block of First Street.

Theft of a GPS unit was reported in the 100 block of West Second Street.

Harassment was reported in the 300 block of J Street. The incident stemmed from a dispute between a tenant and landlord.

Suspected unauthorized videotaping was reported in the 2400 block of University Lane.

March 18

Michael D. Sherrard, 50, was arrested on a Spokane District Court warrant in the 1500 block of First Street.

Attempted strong-arm robbery was reported in the 2600 block of First Street.

Rape by force was reported in the zero hundred block of Columbia Street.

March 20

Mark H. Banka, 41, was arrested for DWLS in the 1000 block of First Street.

Jessica L. Beckley, 30, was arrested for DWLS in the 100 block of Presley Drive.

Heather A. Stoddard, 25, was arrested for DWLS in the 1500 block of First Street.

March 21

Theft of subwoofers, a GPS unit, radar detector and sunglasses was reported from a vehicle in the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

A driver's license was found in the 1100 block of Second Street.

Greyson C. Arnold, 20, and Austin T. Allen, 19, were both arrested for minor in possession of alcohol in the 300 block of Union Street.

Domestic violence was reported in the 2400 block of University Lane.

March 22

Benny R. Valentine, 22, was arrested for DWLS in the 1500 block of Third Street.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

March 13

Officers responded to an alarm in the 14000 block of Sunset Highway.

A female subject was arrested in the area of 18th Avenue and Campbell Street for third-degree DWLS.

A female subject was arrested for third-degree DWLS in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road.

A male subject was contacted in the area of King Street and 14th Avenue. He was booked into Spokane County Jail on a misdemeanor warrant from Airway Heights Municipal Court.

A female subject was contacted on a traffic stop at Sunset Highway and Hayford Road. She was booked into Spokane County Jail on a Spokane misdemeanor warrant.

Officers investigated a missing person report filed in the 12700 block of 13th Avenue.

Police were contacted in the 12800 block of 14th Avenue by a juvenile who claimed parents are abusive. A report was forwarded to Child Protective Services.

Officers participated in a DUI emphasis in Airway Heights.

Police responded to an argument in the 13300 block of Sunset Highway. A female subject was contacted and booked into jail on an Airway Heights Municipal Court Warrant.

Officers were called to the 13100 block of Sunset Highway for an alarm. Everything was OK.

Police contacted two suspicious subjects looking in a window in the area of Sunset Highway and King Street.

Officers assisted a disabled motorist who's wheel fell off in the area of Hayford Road and Balmer Road.

March 14

Officers assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) deputies and Washington State Patrol on traffic stops involving a large motorcycle club.

Police were called to check the welfare of a subject in the 13500 block of 12th Avenue. Everything was OK.

Officers contacted a vehicle at Shorty Combs Park with the stereo turned up too loud.

Police responded to an alarm in the 100 block of North Hayford Road. It was a false alarm.

Officers investigated an alarm in the 13100 block of 14th Avenue. Everything was secure.

March 15

Police verified vehicle identification numbers for a business in the 2300 block of Hayden Road.

Officers were called regarding an aggressive dog in the 1700 block of Lawson Street.

Police assisted the CPD school resource officer by contacting parents in the 12500 block of Sunset Highway regarding student not going to school.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of Garfield Road to pick up found property.

Police were contacted by a subject in the 13900 block of 12th Avenue regarding damage to his property.

Officers responded to the 100 block of North Hayford Road for an unwanted guest.

A female subject was arrested for third-degree theft – shoplifting in the area of 12800 14th Avenue. She was booked into jail on two misdemeanor warrants from Spokane Municipal Court.

Police were called to the 12700 block of 13th Avenue on a noise complaint.

A suicidal subject was contacted by officers in the 1900 block of Lawson Street. The subject was transported to hospital.

A 911 hang-up call was investigated by officers in the area of Hayford Road and Sprague Avenue.

Police took a stolen vehicle report in the area of 100 block of North Hayford Road.

March 16

Officers investigated a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 12700 block of 14th Avenue.

Police were called to the 100 block of North Hayford Road to investigate two small dogs left in a vehicle for several hours.

A male subject was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of Sunset Highway and Lyons Road. The subject was booked into Lincoln County Jail on a misdemeanor warrant from Davenport.

Police assisted the CPD school resource officer by contacting a student's parents in the 12500 block of Sunset Highway.

Officers assisted SCSO deputies on an alarm call in the 6100 block of South Hayford Road.

Police responded to an alarm in the 11300 block of McFarlane Road.

A female subject was arrested in the area of Lawson Street and 18th Avenue for third-degree DWLS. She was booked into jail on an Airway Heights Municipal Court Warrant.

A male subject was arrested for third-degree DWLS in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road. He was booked into jail on a misdemeanor warrant from Spokane District Court.

Officers assisted a disabled motorist in the area of Sprague Avenue and Hayford Road.

A female subject reported her purse was stolen in the 100 block of North Hayford Road.

Police assisted WSP and SCSO deputies on an injury collision in the area of Hayford Road and Sunset Highway.

March 17

Police assisted WSP with a medical emergency resulting in a single vehicle collision in the area of Sunset Highway and Hazelwood.

Officers responded to the 1900 block of Lawson Street regarding two pit bulls at large and chasing pedestrians.

A male subject was arrested in the area of 6th Avenue and Russell Street for third degree DWLS.

Police responded to the 12800 block of 14th Avenue to investigate suspicious circumstances, possible shoplifting.

Officers assisted SCSO deputies on a DUI stop in the area of Deno Road and Hayford Road.

Police contacted a disabled subject in the 13100 block of Sunset Highway. The subject was given a courtesy ride to residence.

March 18

Officers took a stolen vehicle report from a subject in the 1800 block of Pogue Street.

Police responded to the 10300 block of Balmer Road to assist SCSO deputies on a parental discipline dispute.

Officers took information from subjects that came to the police department regarding a possible drug house.

A male subject in the 800 block of Russell Street was booked into jail on the charge of fourth degree assault – domestic violence.

Officers were called to the 12700 block of 13th Avenue for a noise complaint.

A male subject in the 100 block of North Hayford Road reported he had been assaulted by another male.

A female subject was arrested in the area of Hayford Road and Sprague Avenue for third-degree DWLS.

Officers responded to the 100 block of North Hayford Road for possible drug activity.
