CHENEY

March 8

A mental subject was reported in the zero hundred block of B Street.

Malicious mischief was reported when a car was keyed in the 200 block of College Avenue.

A 17-year-old female was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 900 block of First Street.

Harassment was reported in the 300 block of Cherry Tree Court.

March 9

Theft of textbooks was reported in the 1500 block of Third Street.

Theft of an iPod was reported at Cheney High School.

A patrol vehicle was damaged when an officer driving hit the mirror against the side of a building.

March 10

Ashley J. Robinson, 25, was arrested on a Cheney Municipal Court commitment for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in the 1200 block of West First Street.

March 11

Emma R. McSharry, 19, was arrested for possessing a fake ID in the 400 block of First Street. Danielle M. Abbott, 21, was arrested for transferring her ID to McSharry.

A truck struck a pedestrian and fled the scene in the zero hundred block of North Second Street.

James T. Powers, 23, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended (DWLS) in the zero hundred block of West Second Street.

A loud party was reported in the 300 block of Sixth Street. A citation was issued for a noise violation.

March 12

Officers assisted Child Protective Services remove a child from a home in the 2300 block of University Lane.

Christine G. Leaming, 23, was arrested for DWLS in the 200 block of First Street.

Theft of a blue bicycle was reported in the 100 block of Holladay Drive.

Theft was reported in the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road.

Police completed a public assist at Cheney Middle School, assisting with the interpretation of a parenting plan.

Serena A. McCollough, 42, was arrested for second degree assault—domestic violence—in the 200 block of Second Street.

Matthew J. Miller, 19, was arrested for possessing a fake ID in the 400 block of First Street.

March 13

Carlynn A. Davis, 40, was arrested for DWLS in the zero hundred block of West First Street.

Eric G. Arnst, 46, was arrested on a malicious mischief warrant from Cheney Municipal Court in the 1200 block of First Street.

Assault was reported in the zero hundred block of Columbia Street.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 2200 block of First Street.

Computers were stolen in the 1900 block of First Street.

Alexander R. Wellington-Fahey, 20, was arrested in the 200 block of G Street for minor in possession of alcohol.

Brenda L. Hoffman, 43, was arrested for fourth degree assault—domestic violence—in the 1200 block of West First Street.

Malicious mischief was reported in the 400 block of First Street. A window and door were damaged and investigation is pending.

Domestic violence was reported in the 300 block of Erie—verbal only.

Arlo J. Morrow, 20, was arrested for DWLS in the 300 block of Seventh Street.

March 14

Harassing phone calls were reported in the 1600 block of Fifth Street.

Tommy S. Kirk, 21, and Joshua M. Warren, 22, were both arrested for residential burglary in the 300 block of West First Street.

Cynthia Tafolla, 25, was arrested for assault in the 2200 block of First Street.

A car was damaged in the 1600 block of Second Street.

A dispute between coworkers was reported in the 2200 block of First Street.

Jessica N. Arredondo, 23, was arrested for furnishing alcohol to minors and violation of keg regulation laws in the 300 block of Erie Street. A 17-year-old female was also arrested for minor in possession of alcohol.

Michael R. Veenstra, 21, was arrested for DUI in the zero hundred block of North Second Street.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

March 6

Officers responded to the 13300 block of 13th Avenue regarding a report of phone harassment.

Police were asked to check intoxicated subjects in the 13200 block of Sunset Highway.

Officers assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) deputies in the 7600 block of Highway 2 on a felony domestic violence call.

Police responded to investigate a report of a possible domestic violence between a male and female in a vehicle westbound from the 13300 block of Sunset Highway.

Officers were asked to check the welfare of two subjects hitchhiking in the area of Sunset Highway and Craig Road.

Police assisted Clarkston Police Department by contacting a citizen in the 12500 block of 20th Avenue regarding a vehicle registered there.

Officers contacted a male subject in the area of 800 Ziegler Street driving in a reckless manner.

Officers responded to the area of 100 North Hayford Road for a report of a stolen vehicle. The suspects took it for a joy ride and parked it in the parking lot.

A male subject was arrested in the 11900 block of Sprague Avenue for third degree DWLS. The subject was booked into jail on three local misdemeanor warrants.

March 7

Police tagged an abandoned vehicle in the area of Sunset Highway and Russell Street.

Officers investigated a report of malicious mischief in the area of 13500 12th Avenue.

A bicycle abandoned in a subject's front yard in the 700 block of Horton was tagged and put on police property.

Juvenile runaway was contacted in the 12800 block of 13th Avenue. The juvenile was booked into Spokane Juvenile Detention on a misdemeanor warrant.

Police responded to the 12800 block of 14th Avenue for two juvenile shoplifters.

Officers investigated a report of malicious mischief in the area of 12300 Sunset Highway.

March 8

Police were called to the 12500 block of 10th Avenue to investigate a strange looking needle found in a subject's yard.

Officers investigated a report of a marijuana grow in the area of 12500 Frank Avenue. Nothing was found.

Police responded to a report of two subjects in a vehicle pointing a shotgun at a passing motorist.

Officers assisted Department of Corrections in contacting a client in the 1900 block of Garfield Road.

Police investigated a 911 hang-up call in the 13500 block of 6th Avenue.

Officers were contacted by a subject in the 12800 block of 13th Avenue regarding trespassing an unwanted guest. The subject was contacted and advised.

A female subject was contacted in the 12800 block of 12th Avenue. She was booked into jail on the charge of fourth degree assault – domestic violence.

Officers investigated another 911 hang-up call in the area of 8th Avenue and Aspen Street.

A male subject was arrested in the area of 6th Avenue and Beeman Street for third degree DWLS. The subject was booked into jail on a misdemeanor warrant from Spokane Municipal Court.

March 9

Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 1500 block of Mullan Street.

Police were called to the 1200 block of Russell Street regarding a theft from a fenced front yard.

Officers responded to the 100 block of North Hayford Road for an intoxicated subject.

Police contacted juveniles who were jumping bicycles in the lot, and getting in and out of a Jeep parked in the area of West Street and 13th Avenue.

Officers took an identity theft report from a subject at the police department.

Police investigated an occupied vehicle at the skate park after dark.

Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle picking up a passenger on a dark street in the area of 12th Avenue and Lawson Street.

Police checked a suspicious vehicle left running in the 12500 block of Sunset Highway.

Officers investigated an open door in the 1800 block of Lawson Street. The door was secured, everything OK.

A female subject was arrested in the area of Hayford and Sprague Avenue for third degree DWLS.

Officers responded to a drug overdose in the area of 13000 Sunset Highway.

March 10

Police were called to investigate a report of two juveniles shooting BB guns in the area of 8th Avenue east of Russell Street.

A female subject was arrested in the area of 13th Avenue and Lawson Street for third degree DWLS.

Officers responded to a report of a 911 hang-up call in the 13500 block of Sunset Highway.

Another 911 hang-up call from a cell phone in the area of 6th Avenue and Horton Street was investigated by officers.

A female subject was booked into jail from the 12800 block of 12th Avenue for violation of a no contact order.

Police assisted a disabled motorist in the area of Hayford Road and Sprague Avenue.

Officers responded to an alarm in the 13100 block of 14th Avenue. Everything was OK.

March 11

Officers responded to the area of 11900 Sprague Avenue for a report of subjects throwing contraband over the prison fence. One adult female and one juvenile female were arrested for introducing contraband (tobacco) into the prison.

A male subject was arrested in the area of Sunset Highway and Garfield Road for second degree DWLS.

March 12

Police were contacted by a parent trying to pick up a runaway juvenile in the 12400 block of 4th Avenue.

A male subject was arrested in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayden Road for third degree DWLS.

A male subject was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of Sunset Highway and Loffler Street.

Officers contacted a subject who left a gun in plain view in a vehicle parked in the 13600 block of Sunset Highway. The subject was advised it must be hidden from view and unloaded.

Police responded to the 13900 block of 12th Avenue for a suicidal subject.

Kenneth L. Shown, 21, was booked into jail on the charge of second degree assault when officers were called to the 13100 block of Sunset Highway for a person with a weapon.

A female subject was contacted in the 13100 block of Sunset Highway and arrested for fourth degree assault.

Police assisted medics on a call in the 13100 block of Sunset Highway.

Jean P. Germeaux, 34, was booked into Spokane County Jail on the felony charge of forgery when he was contacted in the 100 block of North Hayford Road.

Lisa L. Pousson, 31, was booked into Spokane County Jail on the felony charge of forgery when she was contacted by police in the 100 block of North Hayford Road.
