County makes plans to eliminate most Fish Lake park maintenance

Spokane County is reducing its service at Fish Lake County Park northeast of Cheney, citing budget difficulties.

Fish Lake is one of seven county parks that will see garbage pickup eliminated, bathrooms locked and all but minimal maintenance work ceased this summer. Cheney area residents greeted the announcement with concern and frustration.
