Feb. 17
Officers completed a warrant arrest for the Newport Police Department in the 1100 block of First Street. Douglas R. Corp, 41, was arrested for third degree assault.
Makai W. Borden. 24, was arrested for driving while license suspended (DWLS) in the 300 block of First Street.
A maroon bicycle was reported found in the 600 block of First Street.
A 14-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting at Safeway.
Alejandro Pineda-Rincon, 26, was arrested in the 300 block of Elm Street for DWLS.
Feb. 18
Identity theft was reported in the 700 block of West First Street.
Department of Corrections inmate Jackie T. Riddle was served a Cheney Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on a charge of third-degree theft while being transported between facilities.
Domestic violence was reported in the 2400 block of University Lane—verbal only.
A two-car non-injury collision occurred in the 1100 block of Betz Road.
A hit and run occurred in the zero hundred block of Third Street. No injuries were reported.
A two-car non-injury collision occurred in the 1300 block of First Street.
Edward J. Francia, 20, and Adam O. Bouchard, 20, were arrested in the 1500 block of Third Street, both for minor in possession of alcohol.
Damien R. Favors-Harper, 20, was arrested for DWLS in the 300 block of F Street.
Dale R. Danielson, 41, was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in the 200 block of West First Street.
Feb. 19
A hit and run occurred in the 100 block of West First Street. No injuries were reported.
A missing person was reported in the 2300 block of University Lane. The person later returned.
Unauthorized use of a debit card was reported in the 800 block of West First Street.
A 16-year-old male was arrested in the 500 block of Irene Place for assaulting a firefighter.
Daemon C. Vergo, 35, was arrested in the 300 block of Oakland Street for DWLS.
A cell phone was reported stolen in the 400 block of First Street.
Feb. 20
Mutual combat between two juveniles was reported in the 2800 block of Al Ogdon Way. The parents handled the situation.
A runaway juvenile was reported in the 1100 block of First Street. The 15-year-old female later returned home.
Carrie-Lateasha D. Flake, 20, was arrested for DWLS in the 200 block of West First Street.
An assault was reported in the 200 block of Seventh Street. Charges were pending.
Feb. 21
A drive-by shooting occurred in the 500 block of Second Street. Arrested for first-degree assault, drive-by shooting, were: Abran L. Gibson, 19, a 15-year-old male, a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male. An additional charge of attempted murder was set to be filed against the 17-year-old, the alleged trigger-puller. One shot was fired and struck a bystander in the hand. The victim was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital. Investigation of the incident is ongoing.
AIRWAY HEIGHTS
Feb. 14
Police responded to the Spokane County ORV Park to investigate a report of two subjects entering the park on bicycles.
Officers assisted Spokane County Sheriff's deputies on a suspicious subject call in the 14200 block of Highway 2.
Colby A. Thompson, 25, was booked into jail on a Department of Corrections warrant. He was contacted in the 100 block of North Hayford Road.
Kellia A. Jenkins, 41, was arrested for fourth degree assault and trespassed from the area of 13500 6th Avenue.
Police responded to the area of 1400 Albert for a report of possible domestic violence.
Feb. 15
Officers assisted a disabled motorist at Craig Road and McFarlane Road.
Police were asked to check the welfare of a subject in the area of 13900 12th Avenue.
A juvenile problem with a cell phone was investigated by officers in the area of 12300 10th Avenue.
Officers were called to the 12500 block of Sunset Highway for a customer dispute.
A harassment report was taken by officers at the police department.
Tamte L. Southwood, 48, was arrested in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road for third degree DWLS.
Police assisted Sheriff's deputies serving an arrest warrant in the 21000 block of Jacobs Road.
Lindsey E. Edens, 25, was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of Sprague Avenue and Hayford Road.
Feb. 16
Police responded to 13100 Sunset Highway for a collision with a parking barrier.
Officers were called to the area of 600 Aspen Street to take a malicious mischief report for damage done by former tenants.
A theft report was taken by officers in the area of 13000 McFarlane Road.
Police assisted Sheriff's deputies with an alarm call in the 8300 block of Highway 2.
Officers contacted two subjects sitting in a vehicle at Sunset Highway and King Street.
Feb. 17
Officers took an informational report from a subject regarding a possible stolen vehicle.
Quintin F. McCrory, 29 was booked into jail on the charge of possession of child pornography.
Jasmine M. Breece, 31, was booked into jail on the charge of fourth degree assault, domestic violence, near 13300 Whitetip Avenue.
Officers responded to an argument in the area of 1400 Albert Street. One subject was trespassed from the residence.
Police investigated a collision in the area of Sunset Highway and Ziegler Street.
Bryce D. Wallace, 19, was arrested in the area of Sunset Highway and Lundstrom Street for reckless driving that involved a collision.
Feb. 18
Airway Heights officers have been participating in the state wide child car seat emphasis.
Police investigated a collision in the area of Sprague Avenue and Russell Road.
Officers provided a civil standby in the area of 11000 21st Avenue.
Police responded to the area of 13900 12th Avenue to take a report of a no contact order violation.
Officers assisted Sheriff's deputies with an uncooperative shoplifter in the 1200 block of Hayford Road.
Police responded to the 1800 block of Lawson Street for a 911 hang-up call.
A welfare check was requested on a subject in the area of 13900 13th Avenue. Everything was OK.
Officers responded to the area of 1800 Mintle Street for a civil dispute.

Officers responded to an alarm in the area of 900 Lawson Street.
Jaymie C. Fowler, 26, was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road.
Officers were called to the 12800 block of 14th Avenue for an intoxicated subject sleeping on the floor. The subject was transported to his motel.
Police responded to the 13900 block of 12th Avenue for an unwanted guest.
Donald R. Plumley, 47, was arrested in the area of Sprague Avenue and K. Walter Drive for third degree DWLS.
Thomas J. Sawyer, 30, was arrested for second degree DWLS in the area of Sprague Avenue and Hayford Road.
Officers assisted Sheriff's deputies by responding to a report of an argument in the area of Highway 2 and Deer Heights Road.
Kenneth E. Watt, 46, was booked into jail on the charge of physical control of vehicle under the influence. He was contacted in the area of Highway 2 and Deer Heights Road.
K-9 officers assisted Sheriff's deputies on a party call in the 10600 block of 12th Avenue. They located marijuana.
