Mutual combat was reported at Cheney Middle School. The incident was handled within the school district.
A student at Salnave Elementary School claimed to have been assaulted by a teacher. Officers determined it was not an assult and the incident was handled within the school.
Theft of a multicolored bicycle was reported in the 1700 block of Fourth Street.
Malicious mischief was reported in the 100 block of North Seventh Street. Park benches were spray painted.
A one-car collision occurred in the 400 block of North Sixth Street. No injuries were reported.
Jan. 12
Benjamin H. Watts, 25, was arrested in the 2200 block of Washington Street for driving while license suspended (DWLS).
Burton W. Soper, 53, was arrested in the zero hundred block of Fifth Street for three incidents of domestic violence: unlawful imprisonment, harassment and interfering with a report to police.
Ryan K. Musgrave, 22, was arrested in the 2800 block of Al Ogdon Way for carrying a concealed weapon – a 9-millimeter pistol.
Jan. 13
A sudden death occurred in the 1500 block of Second Street.
Malicious mischief was reported in the 1600 block of Fourth Street. A vehicle damaged a yard.
Theft of a coat was reported at Cheney Middle School. The coat was recovered and a 12-year-old male was arrested for third degree theft.
The rear window of a vehicle was broken in the 1300 block of First Street.
A two-car collision occurred in the 1800 block of First Street. No injuries were reported.

A 2006 Dodge Ram Charger was taken from the 200 block of F Street without the owner's permission.
Jan. 15
A motorcycle was pushed over and damaged in the 200 block of Simpson Parkway.
An assault was reported in the 500 block of Union Street.
Jan. 16
A second degree assault reported in the 500 block of Presley Drive is being investigated.
A suicidal subject was reported in the 2200 block of First Street. The individual was voluntarily committed.

Theft of a camera from a vehicle was reported in the 500 block of Third Street.
Jan. 18
Peter D. Astle, 19, was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol at the Grove apartment complex on South Cheney-Spangle Road.

Jan. 11
Officers responded to the 800 block of Aspen for a suicidal subject.
Police investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Sunset Highway and Hayford Road.
Officers provided a civil standby in the 13500 block of 6th Avenue.
Helen M. E. Dobbins, 53, was arrested at Sunset Highway and Hayford Road for third degree DWLS.
Jeff A. Benedetti, 32, was arrested for third degree theft in the 12500 block of 21st Avenue.
Jan. 12
Michael A. Fairfield, 38, was arrested for third degree DWLS at Sunset Highway and Lundstrom Street.
Officers responded to a two vehicle non-injury collision at Sunset Highway and West Street.
Michael K. Boyde, 48, was contacted on a traffic stop at Sprague Avenue and Hayford Road. He was booked into jail on a felony warrant for escape from community custody. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance (PCS) – methamphetamine.
Jan. 13
Officers responded to a vehicle/ pedestrian injury collision at 100 N. Hayford Road. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital.
Jan. 14
Chad S. Oliver, 27, was arrested at Loffler Street and 13th Avenue for third degree DWLS.
Shawn M. Schadl, 31, was arrested at Loffler Street and 13th Avenue for allowing an unauthorized person to drive.
Tracey F. Hawkins, 44, was arrested for third degree DWLS at Lawson Street and 13th Avenue.
Jessica R. Crabtree, 26, was arrested at Sunset Highway and Hayford Road for third degree DWLS.
Dallas D. Anderson, 20, was contacted in the 100 block of North Hayford Road and was booked into jail on an outstanding warrant for theft issued by Spokane Municipal Court. She was cited for first degree trespass and possessing a dangerous weapon.
Jan. 15
Thomas J. Pearson, 27, was arrested in the 11900 block of Sprague Avenue for second degree DWLS and PCS – marijuana, less than 40 grams.
Officers were called to the 13200 block of 13th Avenue for a domestic dispute. A juvenile was taken into custody for assault.
Police responded to a report of a fight at McFarlane Road and Craig Road.
Officers were called to the 2000 block of South Craig Road for another fight.
Police contacted two juvenile shoplifters in the 12800 block of 14th Avenue.
Officers investigated a report of an assault in the 2000 block of South Craig Road.
A non-injury accident was investigated by police in the area of 100 North Hayford Road.
Officers assisted Airway Heights Fire Department on a fire call in the 1600 block of Garfield Road.

Officers responded to an alarm in the 13700 block of 12th Avenue.
Police were called to the area of 12th Avenue and King Street for a missing child. The child was found OK.
Officers were called to the 12800 block of 13th Avenue for suicidal subject.
Police took a juvenile runaway report in the area of 13800 12th Avenue.
Officers responded to the area of 1700 Lawson Street for a fight.
Carol L. Fitzhugh, 39, was booked into jail for fourth degree assult, domestic violence, in the 13900 block of 12th Avenue.
Tonia S. Contonio, 40, was booked into jail on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Spokane for third degree DWLS.
Jan. 17
Police assisted medics on a call in the 12600 block of Chandler Avenue.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of Lawson Street for a neighbor dispute.
Jan. 18
Officers were called to the 12500 block of 20th Avenue for a welfare check. Everything was OK.
Police investigated a dead on arrival call in the area of 12500 2nd Avenue.
Scott S. McSpadden, 40, was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of Lundstrom Street and 13th Avenue.
Byron E. Reed was arrested in the area of Sunset Highway and Loffler Street for third degree DWLS.
Officers responded to a disorderly subject in the street in the 600 block of Beeman Street.
Scott A. Christy, 28, was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of Sunset Highway and King Street.
Officers investigated a report of a stolen debit card being used in the 100 block of North Hayford Road.
