Police reports 12/28 through 01/03

CHENEY

Dec. 28

Officers conducted a warrant arrest for Spokane police in the 500 block of Salnave Road. Adelle I. Cannon, 56, was arrested for third-degree theft.

Roger W. Hiatt, 47, was arrested in the 100 block of Paradise Road for driving while license suspended (DWLS).

Dec. 29

Officers responded to a possible case of child molestation in the 300 block of North Sixth Street.

Patrick L. Jenkins turned himself in at the Cheney Police Department and was arrested on two Spokane County warrants for driving under the influence (DUI) and third-degree DWLS.

Dec. 30

Possible child abuse was reported in the 100 block of Washington Street.

Dec. 31

Jonathan M. Lee, 21, was arrested for violating a protection order, giving false or misleading statements to police and DWLS in the 900 block of Washington Street.

Residential burglary was reported in the 700 block of West First Street.

An identification card was found in the 200 block of Second Street and turned in at the Police Department.

Jan. 1

Julie L. Victor, 47, was arrested in the 1300 block of First Street for DWLS.

Christian A. Gomez, 22, was arrested for DUI in the 2700 block of First Street.

Jan. 2

Officers responded to a domestic violence situation in the 2400 block of University Lane. The incident was verbal only.

As part of an emphasis patrol at Hayford Road and Sprague Avenue outside of Airway Heights, Cheney officers arrested Audrey A. O'Grady, 28, for third degree DWLS.

Residential burglary was reported in the 700 block of West First Street.

Jan. 3

Officers responded to a verbal domestic violence incident in the 2400 block of University Lane.

Two separate residential burglaries were reported in the 2500 block of Al Ogdon Way.

Residential burglary was reported in the 2400 block of University Place. Officers were investigating whether or not the multiple burglaries were related, or if they had occurred separately while Eastern Washington University students were absent for winter break.

Malicious mischief was reported in the 200 block of Gregory. A chain link fence was damaged.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

Dec. 28

A reported vehicle prowling was investigated by officers in the 13000 block of McFarlane Road.

Officers were called to check the welfare of a subject in the 12500 block of 21st Avenue. Everything was OK.

Police were called to the 13300 block of Sunset Highway to investigate a theft.

Shawn M. Schadl, 31, was arrested for DWLS third degree at Sunset Highway and Ziegler Street.

Bethany D. Dyczok, 43, was arrested at Sprague Avenue and Hayford Road for third degree DWLS .

Dec. 29

Officers responded to a commercial alarm in the 12900 block of Sunset Highway.

Police were called to the 12500 block of 11th Avenue for an eviction.

Officers assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Office deputies in the area of 10600 W. 12th Avenue with a suicidal subject.

Police responded to the 600 block of Lawson Street to assist Spokane police by taking a report of a vehicle stolen in Spokane.

Jeff A. Benedetti, 32, was arrested in the 12800 block of 14th Avenue for theft, third degree – shoplifting.

Officers were called to the 12500 block of 21st Avenue for a noise complaint.

Police investigated a report of a theft in the 13100 block of Sunset Highway.

Dec. 30

Police assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Office deputies on a car and pedestrian collision at Hayford Road and 12th Avenue.

Kelly A. Hurley, 23, was arrested for third degree DWLS in the area of Sunset Highway and Garfield Road.

Patricia R. Johnson, 44, was arrested at Sunset Highway and Hayford Road for third degree DWLS .

Police assisted Spokane County deputies in the area of 15600 West Highway 2 on a domestic dispute call.

Dec. 31

Georgia A. Fry, 38, was booked into jail when contacted by officers in the 800 block of West 5th Avenue, Spokane, for violation of domestic violence no contact orders.

Officers assisted Child Protective Services in the area of 14th Avenue and Campbell Street.

Police assisted a parent who came to the Police Department to report a missing juvenile. The juvenile was located and returned to the parent.

Officers responded to the area of 2000 South Craig Road to investigate the report of fireworks in the area.

Jan. 1

Officers responded to a medics call in the 12500 block of 2nd Avenue.

Police investigated a suspicious vehicle slowly circling the block at 10th Avenue and Ziegler Street.

Officers responded to a report of a subject jumping into traffic in the area of Hayford Road and Sprague Avenue.

Police responded to a report of a domestic argument in the area of 13500 6th Avenue.

Officers were called to the 13100 block of 14th Avenue to respond to reports of a fight in progress.

Police assisted Washington State Patrol officers by checking Interstate 90 on ramps for a vehicle facing the wrong direction.

Officers assisted the Airway Heights Fire Department on a medics call with a combative subject in the area of 100 North Hayford Road.

Police assisted a parent with a juvenile runaway at the 1300 block of Ziegler Street.

Jan. 2

Officers investigated a two vehicle collision in the area of 8th Avenue and Easy Street.

Police contacted a subject in the area of 12800 14th Avenue who had left children unattended in a vehicle.

Officers investigated a 911 hang-up call from a cell phone in the area of Sprague Avenue and Hayford Road.

Police were called to Sprague Avenue and Russell Road to investigate a one vehicle collision with boulders.

Officers assisted Spokane County deputies in the area of 1600 Deer Heights Road on a domestic argument and a party call in the same area.

A report of a reckless driver was investigated by officers in the area of 8th Avenue and Campbell Street.

Jan. 3

Police responded to an alarm in the area of 12400 9th Avenue. Everything was secure.

Officers investigated a report of a burglary in the 12800 block of 13th Avenue.

Samuel C. McMurtrey, 39, was booked into jail on the charge of residential burglary in the area of 12800 13th Avenue.
