Clarence Moore

Clarence, age 80, went home to be with his Lord Jesus on Dec. 20, 2009 after a short illness.

“God saw him getting tired, He did what He thought was best. He put his arms around him and said ‘Come Home and Rest.' It broke our hearts to lose him, though he did not go alone, a part of us went with him that day God called him home.”

Clarence was born in Cashmere, Wash. on April 22, 1929, son of the late Clarence Calvin and Cora Mae Moore. He is survived by his loving wife Eleanor (Ellie) of 59 years, sister Estella Moore of Spokane, son Richard Moore (Linda), daughters Shirley Terry and Patricia Moore, son-in-law John Szabo, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Szabo.

Clarence graduated from Reardan High School and attended Cascade Bible College in Portland, Ore.

Upon marriage to Ellie he owned a dairy farm and  then went on to small business ventures.

He became a steel fabricator and built many items.

His hobbies included fishing, farming, camping traveling and reading.

Viewing was held at Cheney Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 26 at 1632 West First St. in Cheney, followed by a memorial Service at Lake City Assembly of God Church, 400 E. Grace Street, Medical Lake.
