Jan. 12 meeting features information on mortgage lending for first time buyers; organization's West Plains single-family community, Takoda Park
Spokane's Community Frameworks is holding an informational meeting in Cheney for people looking into homeownership opportunities and affordable mortgage lending for first-time homebuyers.
The meeting takes place on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Cheney Library, 610 First St. beginning at 5:30 p.m. A second meeting is also being held at the Spokane Valley Library, 12004 E. Main, on Wednesday, Jan 13, also beginning at 5:30 p.m. Both meetings are free and open to the public.
At the Cheney Library meeting, Community Frameworks will share information about Takoda Park, their single-family new home community located on the West Plains in the Cheney School District.
At the Spokane Valley Library, Community Frameworks will discuss Valley Pointe, their new quality affordable town/home community being developed near University City in the city of Spokane Valley, and describe how to purchase a new-construction home with affordable financing and down payment assistance.
The meetings will also provide information about services provided by Community Frameworks including homeownership, down payment assistance, classes about credit, money management and mortgage basics and credit and debt counseling. Community Frameworks is a regional non-profit that partners with other organizations to develop affordable rental housing for low-income and homeless people and people with special needs. The organization also helps Spokane-area working families build and purchase their own homes.
