Christmas decorations were damaged in the 200 block of Fifth Street.
Domestic violence was reported in the 1100 block of First Street. The incident involved verbal abuse only.
Dec. 15
Two checks totaling $1,600 were reported forged in the 100 block of West First Street. The incident is under investigation.
The school resource officer responded when a student came to school with a dog bite. The incident occurred outside the city in the 700 block of Calvert Lane and was turned over to Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service.
Dec. 16
Malicious mischief occurred in the 200 block of Washington Street when a car drove through a park and hit a tree.
Jared T. Torgenson, 23, was arrested in the 600 block of Second Street (Cheney Municipal Court) on a local warrant for failure to comply with a negligent driving charge.
Aaron J. Jacobs, 18, was arrested at the courthouse for failure to appear on a prior minor in possession arrest. Jacobs appeared in court for probation, and when he was told there was a warrant for his arrest for missing his court date he fled to the bathroom. When officers retrieved and arrested him, they found a hospital bag of urine on his person.
Dec. 17
A wallet was reported found in the 100 block of First Street.
Whitney L. Johnson, 21, was arrested for driving while license suspended in the zero hundred block of Spokane Street.
Theft was reported in the 100 block of Walker Drive. Yard ornaments were taken from two different houses.
A Dec. 2 incident of three people prowling vehicles in the 300 block of Erie was reported.
Dec. 18
A van window was broken out and a keyboard, camera and board game were stolen in the zero hundred block of Seventh Street.
Residential burglary was reported in the zero hundred block of Fifth Street. An individual was moving, left the house, and returned to find a guitar, vacuum and mountain bike had been stolen. The individual said she knew who committed the burglary and police found the items at a Spokane pawnshop. No arrests had been made as of Dec. 21.

A car stolen from the zero hundred block of Columbia Street was recovered in Whitman County. The car's owner was out of town and did not report the theft.
Financial fraud was reported at the Cheney Safeway. A subject tried to cash a $500 traveler's check, which was a fake. The subject was cooperative and the investigation is continuing.

Verbal domestic violence occurred in the 600 block of Third Street.

Officers were called to the 12500 block of 2nd Avenue for a welfare check. Everything was OK.
Police tagged an abandoned vehicle to be towed in the 1000 block of Easy Street.
Officers assisted Sheriff's deputies by responding to a missing person call in the 1200 block of South Hayford Road. The missing person was located.
Police responded to the 12800 block of 14th Avenue to take a shoplifting report.
Joshua M. Warren, 22, was booked into jail for assault fourth degree – domestic violence. He was contacted in the 12500 block of 2nd Avenue.

Officers assisting Sheriff's deputies responded to the 14200 block of Highway 2 for a road rage incident with weapons being displayed.
Police assisted Sheriff's deputies by responding to the 10600 block of Highway 2 for a dispute regarding a cell phone.
Officers investigated a report of threats being made in the 13900 block of 12th Avenue.
Police responded to the area of 500 Lawson Street for a 911 hang-up call. It was a misdial.
Officers assisted Sheriff's deputies on a vehicle collision in the 500 block of North Government Way.
A report of a horse in the roadway at Highway 2 and Rambo Road was investigated by officers assisting Sheriff's deputies.
Officers responded to the 13900 block of 12th Avenue to check the welfare of a subject dialing 911.

Police responded to the 13900 block of 12th Avenue for an argument.
Officers served civil papers in the 13900 block of 12th Avenue.
Police investigated a two vehicle collision at Sunset Highway and Craig Road.
A suspicious vehicle in the area of Sprague Avenue and Russell Street was investigated by officers.
Officers responded to a report of a metal bar lying in the roadway at Sunset Highway and Hayford Road.
Police were called to the area of 12500 21st Avenue for a noise complaint.
Dec. 16
Officers investigated a two vehicle collision in the area of 11800 Center Lane.
A juvenile runaway report was taken in the area of 1800 Mintle Street. The juvenile was located and returned to residence.
Officers were called to the area of 100 North Hayford Road for a possible driving under the influence. The subject was contacted sitting in a vehicle and advised not to drive.
Kelly L. McCormick, 22, was booked into jail from 100 North Hayford Road for third degree assault.
Police took a report of a hit and run accident in the 12800 block of 14th Avenue.
Dec. 17
Police were called to 18th Avenue and Lawson Street to investigate suspicious circumstances in a storage unit.
Officers executed a search warrant in the 2000 block of Campbell Street.
Leslie D. Keegan, 43, was contacted during the execution of a search warrant and booked into jail on four warrants; violation of a domestic violence no contact order, Spokane Municipal Court, theft third degree, Spokane District Court, and possession of a controlled substance and second degree organized retail theft, trafficking from Spokane Superior Court.
Natasha S. Denison, 21, was arrested at Sunset Highway and Garfield Road for driving while license suspended third degree.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Lawson for a possible abused dog. A caregiver was located and the dog was in good health.

Officers were called to the area of 9th Avenue and Russell Street for a 911 hang-up call from a cell phone.
A juvenile skipping school was contacted by officers in the 13200 block of Sunset Highway. The mother was contacted and the juvenile was released to a family member.
A welfare check was requested on a citizen walking and occasionally stumbling along the roadway at Hayford Road and Sunset Highway.
Officers investigated a report of a 911 hang-up call from a cell phone in the area of 19th Avenue and Pogue Street.
A suspicious vehicle was contacted in the area of 12th Avenue and Garfield Road.
Officers responded to a report of a reckless driver in the area of Sprague Avenue and Hayford Road.

Dec. 19
Police were called to the 13900 block of 12th Avenue to investigate a report of a vehicle rolling into a mobile home causing damage. The involved parties had already exchanged information.
Officers responded to the area of 13500 6th Avenue for a domestic dispute.
Police assisted Sheriff's deputies on a hold up alarm in the 10400 block of Highway 2. It was not a hold up.
Officers were called to the 12600 block of 4th Avenue for a domestic argument.
Police assisted State Patrol on a two vehicle injury collision in the area of Highway 2 and Hazelwood Road.
Officers investigated a report of a possible DUI in the 12800 block of 14th Avenue. A vehicle was contacted no alcohol was found.
Police assisted Sheriff's deputies in the 5600 block of West Armstrong on an assault call.
Officers responded with medics to a dead on arrival natural causes call in the 13000 block of 13th Avenue.
