Nineteen Cheney DECA students competed at Spokane Community College on Dec. 7 for the right to go to state competition in Bellevue March 4-7. Cheney qualified 11 students for state out of a total of 750 students from 16 area high schools. DECA advisor Jeff Pike put the students accomplishments into perspective by noting that one Greater Spokane League high school qualified three students out of 31 participants.
