Grafitti found in Cheney complex

A grafitti spree occurred Sunday night in the 800 West One apartment complex.

Markings throughout the complex included messages like “I love weed” and “Cheney gangz unite” as well as a large swastika spray painted on the complex's sign on West First Street.

Cheney Police Cmdr. Rick Campbell said the vandalism was deemed malicious mischief and there are no suspects at this time.

“It doesn't look like it's actually hate related, just markings,” he said.

Cheney Realty manages the complex. Manager Moktar Batibure said this was the first time he'd seen this much vandalism in the year he has worked there.
