Billy passed away Nov. 5, 2009. He was born Dec. 15, 1931 to Daisy I. Warner and William S. Moseley in Jena, La. He attended Bossier High School where he was very active in sports, especially in football. Following graduation and some college he enlisted in the Air Force and served from 1951 to 1971. While overseas he met and married his wife Elizabeth. They raised three sons.
His duty to the service took him to many parts of the world. His last assignment brought him to Fairchild Air Force Base. Being an avid hunter and fisherman he found Washington the perfect place for his permanent residence. He worked in construction until he was hired at Eastern State Hospital as a security guard for nine years. Bill was a person who never met a stranger. He enjoyed bartending, which gave him the perfect opportunity to discuss everything from sports to politics. He helped to start eh “Friends for Children” organization in Medical Lake.
He loved sports of all kinds. He coached softball and was a big critic at his sons' and grandsons' football games. His passion for hunting and especially fishing stayed with him until his health failed.
He is survived by his sister Marilyn E. Blake of Merced, Calif.; his wife Elizabeth of 51 years; son Michael and wife Debbie of Medical Lake; son James of Otis Orchard; son Kenneth and wife Diane of Ephrata, Wash.; seven grandchildren: Rachel, Aaron, Kyle, Chris, Brandon, Karinne and Tyler and two great grandchildren, Savannah and Colton. His parents and three sisters Sammie, Maxine and Ferne preceded Bill in death.
A celebration of life ceremony was held Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at the Wagon Wheel Tavern. A memorial service was held Nov. 10, 2009 at Ball and Dodd funeral home in Spokane, Wash. He will be missed by all who knew him.
At this time we the Moseley family would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the loving support from family and friends for their kindness and generous offerings.
