Dorothy Porter

Dorothy Porter (Glassman), 94, of Cheney, formerly of Boston, Sharon and Chicago died Oct. 22. 2009. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Curtis Porter.

She is survived by her children; Charles (Kaisa) Porter of Wilmette, Ill. and Mark (Sandy) Porter of Cheney, her brother Cyril Glassman of Boynton Beach Fl. and grandchildren Katherine, Curtis, Kate Lynn, Aaron, Logan, Alexis, Ian, Joey and Sandra. Her brothers Lawrence and Alfred Glassman as well as sisters Helen Creiger, Betty Egel, Francis and Lilian Glassman precede her in death.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Schossberg Soloman Memorial Chapel in Canton, Mass. In lieu of flowers remember her to the Sharon Public Library Foundation, P.O. Box 521 Sharon, MA 02067.
