It took a while but Medical Lake's volleyball team finally broke through into the win column last Thursday night. But what better place to begin trying to salvage their season than by starting the second half of the Great Northern League schedule with a 3-1 victory over Deer Park.
It's a contrast to the season's opening match – a 3-0 loss by scores of 25-14, 25-22 and 25-13. The Cardinals took this one 25-16, 23-25, 25-11 and 25-20.
They did what they have been unable to do in many of their previous outings so far, lead early and hold on when it counted. Medical...
