Lackluster play in loss at Pullman eclipsed by spirited five-game win over Riverside Rams

Sometimes you never know how things will go in the sporting world. One moment you're up, the next moment you're down.

The Cheney volleyball team experienced the reverse of that last week. The Blackhawks were, in the words of head coach Cassie Hare, “everything ugly” in a road-loss to Great Northern League leader Pullman (8-0, 12-1), and then two days later, poster kids for grit and determination in a 3-2 road win at Riverside (4-4, 5-4).

Hare definitely prefers the latter, although...
