Sept. 28

A suspicious circumstance was reported on the 1400 block of Pineview Street. A potential violation of a restraining order is being investigated.

Mica A. Franz, 29, was arrested for hit and run in the 100 block of West First Street.

A two-car collision with minor injuries occurred in the 100 block of Second Street.

Sept. 29

A 14-year-old male was arrested for harassment at Cheney Middle School.

Second-degree assault was reported on the zero hundred block of B Street. Jason H. Beeman, 18, was arrested for the domestic violence-related assault.

Logan J. Trotter, 20, was arrested on the 400 block of First Street for minor in possession of alcohol and minor frequenting a tavern.

Sept. 30

Found property was reported on the 200 block of Fifth Street. Swords were found.

Marc T. Hernandez, 21, was arrested on the 1000 block of Betz Road for possession of marijuana.

A set of keys was reported found on the 200 block of North Eighth Street.

Computer trespassing was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

Alcohol-related offenses were reported on the 300 block of Cocolalla Street. Adam W. Walike, 18, and Jesse D. Twiggs, 18, were both arrested for minor in possession of alcohol.

Oct. 1

Officers responded to a suicide attempt at 2600 Eton Lane. The subject was involuntarily committed.

An incident of contributing to the delinquency of a minor was reported on the 600 block of West First Street. Dayton V. Payne, 18, was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol, third degree theft and shoplifting. Troy A. Champagne, 26, was arrested for third degree theft and shoplifting.

Harassment was reported on the zero hundred block of Fifth Street. No arrests were made.

A suspicious circumstance was reported on the 2200 block of Marigold Circle.

Officers responded to a sudden death that occurred on the 2200 block of North Sixth Street.

Oct. 2

Robert V. Dethman, 43, was arrested for hit and run on the 400 block of First Street.

John R. Frise, 23, was arrested for unattended hit and run on the 600 block of First Street.

The theft of sports equipment was reported on the 2600 block of Bethany Street. Tyler S. King, 18, and a 17-year-old male were arrested for second degree theft with multiple charges still pending.

The unlawful issuance of a bank check was reported on the 100 block of West First Street.

Third degree theft of credit cards and other items was reported on the 2600 block of Wheaton Lane. The items were recovered and charges are pending.

Possible child abuse was reported at Cheney High School; the report was unfounded.

Harassment was reported on a school bus; the incident is being investigated.

Domestic violence was reported on the 2400 block of University Lane. The violence was verbal only and no charges were filed.

Katelyn C. Sims, 19, was arrested on the 400 block of First Street for minor frequenting a tavern.

Oct. 3

Gary M. Lantis, 22, was arrested on the 100 block of Cheney-Spangle Road for driving while license suspended in the third degree.

Third degree theft was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. A wallet and cell phone were taken.

Domestic violence was reported on the 2400 block of University Lane. The violence was verbal only and no charges were filed.

Second degree theft of cash was reported on the 300 block of Buena Vista Street.

Oct. 4

An internal report was filed at the police department. The property room audit was completed.

An incident reported as a hit and run was found to be third degree malicious mischief on the 700 block of C Street when a car was damaged.

Christopher T. Bacon, 22, was arrested for third degree driving while license suspended on the zero hundred block of Spokane Street.

A vehicle prowler was reported on the 400 block of North Third Street.
