CHENEY

Sept. 21

Police responded to an alcohol-related offense involving minors on the 400 block of First Street. Alisha R. Kilgore, 21, was arrested for unlawful transfer of her proof of identification to a minor with the intent to buy alcohol.

A driver's license was suspended on the zero hundred block of Betz Road. David C. Finnie, 23, was arrested for driving while license suspended (DWLS) in the third degree.

Police conducted an agency assist on the 2200 block of First Street to apprehend a runaway subject out of Spokane.

Second degree theft was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. Currency was taken from a building.

Sept. 22

Janelle M. Hammer, 19, was arrested on the 200 block of Fourth Street for minor in possession.

Dominick E. Carney, 18, was arrested on the 300 block of Elm Street for minor in possession.

A 17-year-old male was arrested for indecent liberties at Cheney High School.

Found property was reported on the 400 block of First Street. A black bicycle was reported found.

Sept. 23

Third-degree theft of a “No Parking” sign was reported on the 200 block of Fourth Street.

Third-degree theft was reported at the high school. A class ring was stolen.

Third-degree theft of prescription medications was reported on the 1600 block of First Street.

Police completed a warrant arrest for another agency at Cheney Municipal Court. Kevin A. Broadnax, 20, was arrested on a Spokane County District Court warrant for failure to appear, third degree malicious mischief and fourth degree assault.

Sept. 24

Third-degree theft was reported at Cheney Trading Company. Laura A. Franklin, 24, was arrested for shoplifting.

A wallet containing ID was found in an unknown location and delivered to the police department.

A turquoise bicycle was reported found on the 1600 block of Fourth Street.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 3000 block of Meadow Glenn Lane. Window screens were damaged.

Third-degree theft was reported on the zero hundred block of West First Street. A 32-inch television was stolen and recovered. An investigation is continuing.

A DUI and one-car collision were reported on the 1100 block of Salnave Road. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and no arrests were made at the time.

A court order was reportedly violated via text message on the 300 block of Vine Street.

A mental subject was reported on the 1200 block of First Street. The individual was involuntarily committed to the hospital.

Police completed a warrant arrest for another agency on the 500 block of First Street. Ryan G. Yellowjohn, 28, was arrested on a Spokane Police Department warrant for third-degree DWLS.

Sept. 25

A 16-year-old female was arrested on the 300 block of West First Street for minor in possession of alcohol and for giving false or misleading statements to a police officer.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street. A dumpster was turned over and telephone cables were damaged.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 400 block of First Street. A car window was broken.

A multi-colored bicycle was reported found on the 700 block of Cedar Street.

Three men were arrested for minor in possession of alcohol on the 600 block of Third Street. Ryan V. Tripp, 20, Rayneal McCrory, 19, and Edward W. Bonin, 19.

Jared C. Jongsma, 23, was arrested for urinating in public on the 300 block of First Street.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of North Sixth Street. Amy M. Goldsmith, 18, was arrested.

Sept. 26

Zachary C. Tempin, 19, and Ryne J. Leonard, 18, were arrested on the 500 block of First Street for minor in possession of alcohol.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on the 100 block of West Fifth Street for minor in possession of alcohol and for giving false or misleading statements to a police officer.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 200 block of Holladay Drive. Vehicles were egged.

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 700 block of West First Street. The incident was domestic violence-related and is being investigated.

A fourth-degree assault on the 300 block of Erie Street is pending investigation.

An incident of stalking at the Cheney Police Department was reported. The incident is pending investigation and may involve a current restraining order.

Sept. 27

Shane A. Nilles, 24, was arrested for urinating in public on the 800 block of First Street.

MEDICAL LAKE

Sept. 21

Police received a report of a burglary in the 300 block of East Barker Street. 

An identity theft was reported in the 400 block of East Connie Ray Avenue.

A juvenile was contacted in the 700 block of East Barker Street for minor in possession of tobacco.

A motorist was assisted near Salnave and Morehardt.  

Sept. 23

An officer initiated a traffic stop near Hallett and Spence Street.  Deloy J. Eddington, 34, of Medical Lake was arrested for DWLS – third-degree. 

A paper service was completed in the 800 block of West Maple Street. 

Police received a report of a theft from the 200 block of East SR902. 

An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of North Staples on the report of a suicidal subject.  

Sept. 24

A juvenile male was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 200 block of East Barker Street.

An officer was dispatched to a domestic violence incident in the 900 block of North Howard Street. Joanna L. Williams, 63, of Medical Lake was arrested for assault – fourth degree (Domestic Violence). 

Sept. 25

Police received a report of a possible assault in the 200 block of East Barker Street.
