Harold D. Crawford, age 79, a long time resident of Cheney, Wash., went home to the Lord on Aug. 13, 2009.
Harold was born Jan. 20, 1930, to Robert and Bertha Crawford in Blackfoot, Idaho. He managed Cheney Weeder Company for 23 years, was a volunteer with the Cheney Fire Department and served 27 years as a volunteer for Spokane County Fire District No. 3.
In retirement, he enjoyed doing mechanical work in his shop, and gardening. He was a member of Amazing Grace Fellowship in Cheney.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elaine, his three sons, Dennis (Penny) of Spokane, Wash.; Randy (Bonnie) of Olympia, Wash.; and Don (Audri) of Cheney; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by seven siblings: Glenna (Boyd) Matson of Cheney, Edith (the late Dewey) Empey of Washington, Utah; Jan (Brad) Maughan of Austin, Texas; Joan (Stu) Hunsaker of Sterling, Alaska; Jean (Bruce) Brown of Harrisville, Utah; Chuck (Candy) Crawford of Goshen, Ind., and Maryann (Larry) Ricks of Menan, Idaho.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. this Saturday, Aug. 22, at Amazing Grace Fellowship, 416 Betz Road in Cheney.
