CHENEY

March 15

Spokane County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) requested assistance with a traffic stop of a suspected theft suspect.

Second-degree burglary was reported on the 300 block of Fifth Street. The front door was damaged and left open, but nothing was taken.

Ellinore A. Sherwin, 20, was arrested on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway for violating of a no contact order.

A one-car, non-injury accident was reported on the zero hundred block of North Ninth Street.

March 14

Adam L. Lovik, 21, was arrested on the 900 block of First Street for driving under the influence (DUI).

A two-car, non-injury collision was reported on the 900 block of Second Street.

Willie L. Ayler-Jason, 21, was arrested on the 900 block of First Street for fourth-degree assault.

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 1700 block of Second Street.

Eastern Washington University Police Department requested assistance with a traffic stop on the zero hundred block of Erie Street.

Grant M. Williams, 19, and Samantha S. Bailey, 19, were both arrested on the 200 block of south Cheney-Spangle Road for fourth-degree assault-domestic violence and minor in possession (MIP).

March 13

Residential burglary was reported on the 200 block of D Street. Nothing was taken.

A two-car, non-injury collision was reported on the 100 block of North Seventh Street.

March 12

Ryan G. Wilcox, 24, was arrested on the 300 block of First Street for third-degree malicious mischief when he punched out a paned-glass window.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 1100 block of First Street when a television was placed in a shopping cart and pushed against the door of a building.

A $20 bill that is suspected of being counterfeit was reported on the 2700 block of First Street.

Benjamin W. Miland, 20, was taken into custody at Cheney Municipal Court.

March 11

Arlo J. Marlow, 19, was arrested on the 100 block of Paradise Road for second-degree driving while license suspended DWLS.

March 10

An attempted suicide was reported on the 700 block of West Street. Subject was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Domestic violence was reported on the 100 block of Fourth Street. Incident was referred to the prosecuting attorney.

A two-car collision with minor injuries was reported on the zero hundred block of Second Street.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 400 block of First Street when a credit card was taken from a business.

Illegal dumping was reported on the 2200 block of First Street.

A two-car, non-injury collision was reported on the zero hundred block of Simpson Parkway.

March 9

An abandoned auto was reported partially blocking traffic on the 14000 block of SR-904. The red, 1995 Isuzu Rodeo was impounded.

A 16-year-old male was arrested at Cheney High School for harassment/intimidation. A 15-year-old male was also arrested for fourth-degree assault.

David W. Anderson, 45, was arrested on the 100 block of Paradise Road on a warrant from Spokane Police Department stemming from a misdemeanor nuisance arrest.

March 8

A vehicle failing to yield to emergency vehicles was reported on the 400 block of First Street.

March 15

An officer responded to the 100 block of North Hayford on an agency assist.

A malicious mischief was reported from the 2300 block of South Salnave.

March 14

An officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of Lefevre and Jefferson. Kayla G. Watkins, 21, of Medical Lake was arrested for third-degree DWLS.

March 13

An officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of SR-902 and Stanley. Steve L. Forster, 55, of Spokane was arrested for third-degree DWLS.

March 12

An informational report was taken regarding a request for extra patrols.

Responded to the 100 block of South Jefferson on the report of a damaged water pipe.

Received a report of possible telephone harassment at the 500 block of East Tara Lee.

March 11

A report was initiated in reference to found property.

Received a report of a dog at large in the area of Lake and Lefevre.

March 10

A report of telephone harassment was received from the 900 block of North Golden Court.

A theft was reported to have occurred in the 200 block of East SR-902.

Recovered a truant student in the area of Campbell and Brower, who ran away from Hallett Elementary School.

Officers responded to the 700 block of East Ladd Street on the report of a verbal dispute.

An individual called into the police department to report a possible identity theft.

March 9

Received a report of a court order violation in the 2000 block of South Salnave Road.

A patient of Eastern State Hospital left the facility unauthorized, and was located in the 200 block of East SR-902. The adult male was detained and transported back to Eastern State Hospital.

Received a request for a welfare check in the 700 block of North Lefevre Street.

Dispatch advised of a silent commercial alarm in the 300 block of East Grace. An officer responded to the location and determined the alarm to be false.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

March 14

Officers assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) deputies in the 14200 block of Highway 2 on a suspicious person, possible DUI.

Police contacted two juvenile shoplifters in the 12800 block of 14th Avenue. They were transported home and released to their parents.

Officers were flagged over in the area of 1200 South Hayford Road regarding damage to a vehicle that appeared to have happened somewhere else.

Police stopped a stolen vehicle from Chelan County that was traveling eastbound on Sunset Highway at Russell Street. The driver was booked into juvenile detention on a second-degree charge of taking a motor vehicle without permission.

Officers investigated a complaint of loud music in the 1700 block of Lawson Street. The residence was contacted.

Alisia C. Dacus, 33, was booked into jail from the 100 block of North Hayford Road for possession of a controlled substance (meth) and (hydrocodone), third-degree assault and resisting arrest.

March 13

Police located a juvenile runaway in the 13500 block of 6th Avenue. The juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana, less than 40 grams, and released to an adult relative.

Joseph G. Katruska, 32, was arrested at Sprague Avenue and Hayford Road for third-degree DWLS.

Steven M. McDaniel, 47, was arrested in the 2000 block of Craig Road and booked into jail on the charge of second-degree trespassing.

Police responded to a commercial alarm in the 11900 block of Sunset Highway. The building was checked and found secure.

Edward L. Bass, 45, was booked into jail, when contacted in the 13900 block of 12th Avenue, on a felony warrant from Spokane Superior Court for failing to appear on the charge of first-degree trafficking in stolen property.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in a business at Sunset Highway and Hayden Road. The officers contacted the suspicious person and found he did have permission to be there.

March 12

Officers were called to the 100 block of North Hayford Road for a possible DUI. The driver was contacted by police. He was not DUI, but was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant.

Thomas A. Rosario, 56, was booked into jail on a misdemeanor warrant for DWLS from a Spokane Court.

Officers were called to the 12800 block of 14th Avenue for a vehicle theft report.

Grayce L. Kenworthy, 22, was arrested in the 12800 block of 14th Avenue for third-degree shoplifting.

Police contacted and identified a suspicious person at 12th Avenue and Garfield Road.

SCSO deputies requested assistance at the 2300 block of North Hayford Road on an argument.

Officers contacted and identified another suspicious person at 6th Avenue and King Street. Police contacted the person after receiving a call regarding someone matching the subject's description prowling vehicles at 8th Avenue and King Street.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Lawson Street for a domestic argument.

Police assisted Airway Heights Fire Department looking for a report of a fire in the area of 2nd Avenue and Russell Street. A fire in a fire pit was located in the 300 block Solar Street.

Sara A. Wynne, 20, was booked into jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence in the 800 block of King Street.

Jamie L. Wynne, 18, was booked into jail for fourth-degree assault for domestic violence also in the 800 block of King Street.

March 11

Police took a report at the police department regarding a theft of medication and unauthorized use of a Quest Card.

Phillip J. Ragland, 49, was arrested at Sunset Highway and Hayden Road for third-degree DWLS.

Franklin C. Blacker, 31, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at Sunset Highway and Loffler Street.

Billy E. Davis, 37, was arrested at Sunset Highway and Garfield Road for third-degree DWLS.

Officers assisted SCSO deputies in the 10600 block of 12th Avenue on a possible DUI.

Police assisted SCSO deputies on a felony warrant service in the 1500 block of Taylor Street.

Officers investigated a report of possible DUI in a blue station wagon heading west on Sunset Highway.

March 10

Officers took a juvenile runaway report in the 13500 block of 6th Avenue.

An abandoned vehicle was towed in the area of Pogue Street just south of 18th Avenue.

Kelly S. Hudson, 42, was arrested at Hayford Road and Sunset Highway for third-degree DWLS.

Police responded to an alarm in the 2200 block of Garfield Road.

Chandriss D. Miles, 25, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at Lawson Street and 18th Avenue.

Officers assisted SCSO deputies in the 13000 block of Deno Road by transporting a burglary suspect to jail.

Police were called to the 14000 block of Sunset Highway for a commercial alarm. The building was checked and all was secure.

Officers contacted a suspicious vehicle driving around the bank parking lot at Sunset Highway and Garfield Road.

March 9

Police responded to an alarm in the 11300 block of Willow Lane. Building was found to be secure.

Officers assisted Spokane Mental Health professionals by transporting a subject to hospital from the 13900 block of 12th Avenue.

Police assisted Kalispel Tribal Police in the 100 block of North Hayford Road with intoxicated subjects attempting to drive. They decided to take a cab.

Officers assisted SCSO deputies on a possible domestic violence call in the 1600 block of Geiger Boulevard.

Police responded to the 1900 block of Mintle Street for a noise complaint.

March 8

Officers responded to a report of a death in the 1100 block of Easy Street. It was due to natural causes.

Police found a small child wandering in a field in the area of 1400 Albert Street. The mother was found and the child returned.

Kathleen M. Peck, 45, was booked into jail on the charge of fourth-degree assault for domestic violence in the 13900 block of 12th Avenue.

SCSO deputies requested officer assistance at Highway 2 and Spotted Road on a suspicious vehicle.

Police responded to a report of a prowler checking doors in the 600 block of Lundstrom Street.
