A new childcare and child development center is opening in Cheney soon. The new 4,800 square-foot daycare is the same building Pavlish Playhouse used to occupy at 1420 First St. The new owners are John and Jessica Jacobsen. The reason for starting a new daycare in Cheney is simple.
“I just really like kids,” Jessica said.
She added that their business, Highlind Learning Center, is a lot different that what daycares used to be. Highlind is not only a daycare but also offers preschool education. Jacobsen said she plans to have teachers on her staff teaching classes...
