CHENEY

Nov. 12

Harassment was reported on the 2400 block of University Lane.

Identity theft was reported on the 2200 block of First Street.

A 15-year-old girl was arrested at Cheney High School for fourth-degree assault.

Ronald L. Ricci, 40, was taken into custody at Cheney Municipal Court on two warrants. One local warrant was for failure to appear – failure to comply, stemming from an arrest for third-degree theft and making burglary tools. The second was from Spokane for failure to appear – failure to comply, for a vehicle prowling and theft arrest.

Nov. 11

Third-degree theft was reported on the 2700 block of North Sixth Street when a multi-colored bicycle was taken from a residence.

Alysa M. Music, 18, was arrested on Cheney-Spangle Road for minor in possession (MIP) and trespassing.

Second-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 500 block of Third Street when a residential window was broken.

Alexander G. Price, 20, was arrested on the 1600 block of Fourth Street for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) MIP and possessing someone else's ID.

Nov. 10

Shane A. Cummings, 41, was arrested on the 500 block of First Street for fourth-degree assault/ domestic violence and third-degree malicious mischief/domestic violence.

Nov. 9

Second-degree malicious mischief was reported at Cheney Glass when a window was broken in the building.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway when a vehicle was damaged.

Nov. 8

A multi-colored bicycle was found on the 200 block of Third Street.

Public assistance/escort was requested on the 400 block of Fourth Street when an intoxicated subject was transported to their home.

Daniel M. Girton, 19, was arrested on the 200 block of Betz Road for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

Ryan L. Patchen, 19, was arrested on the 200 block of Washington Street for (MIP).

Third-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street when tools and a tool box were taken from a vehicle.

Louis H. Cox, 52, was arrested on the 200 block of Sixth Street for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

Darrin J. Martin, 18, was arrested on the 1600 block of First Street for driving under the influence and MIP.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 700 block of West First Street. A cell phone that was taken was later recovered.

Second-degree burglary was reported on the 200 block of D Street when a watch was taken from a residence.

Nov. 7

Michael R. Fjermestad, 20, of Spokane was arrested on an outstanding warrant, near the corner of Brooks and Lefevre.

Received a report of a runaway juvenile in the 200 block of East Barker Street.

A vehicle was impounded from the 100 block of East SR-902.

Nov. 5

Lost dog recovered near the corner of Fellows and Washin gton.

Received a report of an assault in the 2000 block of South Salnave Road.

A welfare check was conducted in the 900 block of North Howard Street. 

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

Nov. 15

Officers assisted Medical Lake Police on an alarm in the 1000 block of Lake Street.

Police responded to a report of a juvenile with a weapon in the area of 1900 South Mintle. A gun was confiscated at the mother's request.

A suspicious vehicle was contacted in the 13400 block of Sunset Highway.

Timothy R. Gottlob, 21, was arrested at Highway 2 and Hayford Road for third-degree DWLS and possession of marijuana under 40 grams.

James E. Big Beaver, 35, was arrested for third-degree DWLS and no ignition interlock device at Sunset Highway and Campbell.

A noise complaint was received in the area of 2000 South Craig Road. The residence was contacted and the music turned down.

Nov. 14

Officers responded to a collision at Highway 2 and Hayford Road involving three vehicles. There were no reported injuries.

Police responded to the 1900 block of South Mintle Street regarding harassing phone calls. The report was forwarded to the Spokane Police Department as the calls were originating in Spokane.

Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Campbell for an argument.

A civil standby was requested in the area of 500 block of South Easy Street.

Julian Suarez, 59, was booked into Spokane County Jail on the charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) when he was contacted at Sunset Highway and Albert Street.

Officers responded to a report of a fight in the 1800 block of South Pogue Street. It was determined to be a matter of parental discipline.

A fight was reported in the 13100 block of 14th Avenue. A subject with possible head injuries was transported to hospital. No one wished to press charges.

An intoxicated female was contacted on the 100 block of South Hayford. She decided to take a cab home.

Officers assisted Airway Heights Corrections Center with a reckless driver.

Police were called to Craig Road and McFarlane Road for a suspicious vehicle.

Nov. 13

Police received a report of malicious mischief by a male juvenile who was spray painting in Shorty Combs Park.

Officers investigated a report of a reckless and possible DUI driver on Hayford Road.

Jerome A. McKibben, 30, was arrested in the 12800 block of 14th Avenue for third-degree shoplifting.

Police contacted two reckless drivers at 13th Avenue and King Street. Both received warnings.

Officers assisted Medical Lake Police on a burglary at 200 block of North Lefevre.

A report of a hit and run accident was taken in the 1400 block of South Albert Street.

Police responded to a possible domestic violence call in the 12600 block of Sunset Highway. It was found to be an argument only.

Nov. 12

Ashley B. Orne, 18, was arrested at 13th Avenue and Lundstrom Street for second-degree DWLS.

Officers were called to the 1600 block of South Campbell Street for an argument.

Police received reports of a suspicious person in the 500 block of Solar and 12400 block of 6th Avenue. He was from the U.S. Census Bureau.

A man came to the police department to report his oxycodone had been stolen from his residence in the area of 1600 South Lawson.

Mark J. Sarber, 49, was booked into jail on a felony warrant from Spokane Superior Court for possession of a controlled substance on a traffic stop at 6th Avenue and Lawson Street.

Nov. 11

Police responded to an alarm on the 1700 block of South Lundstrom Street. The building was secure.

Officers assisted WSP on a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident at Highway 2 and Flint. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a 911 hang-up call in the area of Highway 2 and King Street. Officers were unable to locate.

Terry L. Palmer, 30, was arrested at 12th Avenue and King Street for third-degree DWLS.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at Hayford Road and Highway 2, no injuries were reported.

Tommy J. Thompson, 54, was booked into Spokane County Jail on the felony charge of attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle. He was contacted at Sunset Highway and Russell Road. His vehicle was spiked at I-90 and Broadway by WSP. He was also booked on a misdemeanor warrant from Spokane District Court for third-degree DWLS.

Suspicious circumstances were investigated by officers at Lawson and 21st Avenue. The gates were unlocked. The area was checked and nothing found.

Nov. 10

Officers were called to Airway Heights Corrections Center to investigate two suspicious vehicles parked along the fence at Sprague and Russell.

A report of a forged check received from an Internet sale in the area of 13500 West 6th Avenue was investigated by officers.

Malicious mischief was reported in the 1800 block of South Mintle Street. It was found to have occurred in Medical Lake. MLPD to be advised.

Nov. 9

Robert G. Goddard, 43, was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 13500 block of West 6th Avenue.

Christopher J. Johnson, 31, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at Sunset Highway and South Garfield Road.

Benjamin K. Dury, 23, was arrested at 18th Avenue and Mintle Street for third-degree DWLS

Edward L. Bass, 44, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at 13th Avenue and South Loffler Street.

Officers were called to the 12800 block of West 19th Avenue for an intoxicated male. He was trespassed from the premises.

Police responded to the 13900 block of West Sunset Highway for a welfare check. It was the same intoxicated male as before. He was transported to the Union Gospel Mission.

Brian R. Laughner, 32, was arrested for fourth-degree assault in the 12300 block of West 10th Avenue.

Officers were called to the 1600 block of South Campbell Street for a malicious mischief call.

A noise complaint was investigated by officers in the 1400 block of South Albert Street. Loud music and shouting were coming from a vehicle. It was discovered they were installing the stereo. They were advised to keep the decibels down.

Nov. 8

Police responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 13300 block of West Kinder Court. It was discovered to be a child playing with the phone.

Officers investigated a report of a suspicious person in the 700 block of South Easy Street. No one was located.

Enrique Ortega-Ortega, 41, was arrested at West 21st Avenue and South Garfield Road for no valid operator's license without identification.

A welfare check of three young children left in a vehicle in a parking lot in the 1200 block of South Hayford Road. The vehicle was gone upon officer arrival.

Police investigated a 911 hang-up call from a cell phone in the area of 19th Avenue and South Lawson Street. No one was found.

Spencer I. Hulse, 23, was arrested at Highway 2 and South Hayford Road for third-degree DWLS, refusal to cooperate with officers, and possession of marijuana less than 40 grams.

Rebecca I. Engle, 21, was contacted at Highway 2 and South Hayford Road and booked into jail on a violation of a domestic violence no contact order.

Police assisted Airway Heights Fire Department on a medics call with an intoxicated male.

In the 800 block of South Beeman officers responded to an alarm call. It was set off by the resident.

Police were called to check on suspicious circumstances in the 12800 block of West 14th Avenue. Everything was OK.

Airway Heights Fire Department requested officers when a man was found unconscious in the 1800 block of South Lawson. He was transported to a hospital.

James R. Hills, 34, was arrested for fourth-degree assault in the 13500 block of West 6th Avenue.

Officers were again called to the 1800 block of South Lawson for the same intoxicated male. He was transported to detox.

Police responded to the 12500 block of West 21st Avenue for a vehicle prowler.

Nov. 7

Officers responded to the 800 block of South Easy for a knife found lying on the lawn.

Joshua S. Burns, 33, was arrested at McFarlane and Garfield Roads for third-degree DWLS.

Police were called to the 12800 block of 14th Avenue for two juvenile shoplifters.

Jensen T. Richards, 21, was contacted in the 1800 block of South Lawson and booked into jail on a misdemeanor warrant from Spokane District Court.

Officers investigated a report of malicious mischief, a rock thrown at a window, in the 1900 block of South Mintle.

Tazshra A. M. Moon, 19, was contacted at Sunset Highway and Albert Street and arrested for third-degree DWLS.

Police were requested by Airway Heights Fire Department for an intoxicated male at King Street and 13th Avenue. He was transported to his residence.

Charles E. Merstetter, 57, was arrested for third-degree DWLS, at Sunset Highway and Hayford Road.

Officers investigated a 911 hang-up call in the 12400 block of West Tower Street. The caller was located.

Police responded to the 12400 block of West Tower Street for a civil stand-by.

Harassment was investigated by officers at the 12500 block of West 21st Avenue. The victim was advised to obtain an anti-harassment order.

Jessica R. Hime, 28, was arrested at 19th Avenue and South Campbell Street and booked into Spokane County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Officers assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Department on a domestic violence call in the 11600 block of West Deno Road.
