Students and guests who attended Salnave Elementary School's Veterans' Day program this past Monday not only received a message about why the day has significance. They also got an interesting history lesson, musical program and special heart-felt messages from student writers.
A Veterans Day proclamation from President George W. Bush, read by teacher Steve Rodgers, spoke of how we are forever indebted to our veterans, and we need to honor those who laid down their lives with the ultimate sacrifice.
