Oct. 23

A debit card was found at the TAJ.

Domestic violence was reported on the 100 block of West First Street. Dispute was verbal only.

Joshua E. Chastain, 21, was arrested at Mitchell's Harvest Foods for third-degree theft when he was caught taking cash.

A hit-and-run (unattended vehicle) was reported on the 500 block of First Street.

A 13-year-old male was arrested at Cheney Middle School for second-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief.

A blue bicycle was found on the 700 block of First Street.

Oct. 22

Domestic violence was reported on the 1200 block of First Street. Dispute was verbal only.

Robert J. Miller, 50, was arrested on the 100 block of Holladay Drive for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

Mikeal R. Gray, 22, was arrested on the 100 block of First Street for harassment/intimidation.

Kyle A. Kolhof ,19, was arrested on the 2600 block of First Street for minor in possession (MIP).

Danny Paradiso, 45, was arrested on the 700 block of Cedar Street on a warrant from Spokane. Paradiso had been list as a wanted fugitive on Crimestoppers.

Oct. 21

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 300 block of North Third-Street.

A yellow bicycle was found on the zero hundred block of North Sixth Street.

A 14-year-old male was trespassed at Cheney Middle School.

Second-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway when the rear fender of a parked vehicle was damaged.

Identity theft was reported on the 100 block of Sixth Street.

Oct. 20

A 14-year-old male was reported as a runaway on the 100 block of Nolan Brown Place. The Juvenile returned home.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported at Salnave Park when security lights were damaged.

Ten spent casings from a 30.06 caliber rifle were found on the 100 block of First Street.

Oct. 19

Renee L. Park, 20, was arrested on the 400 block of Fourth Street for hit-and-run (unattended vehicle) when she collided with one vehicle and struck two other parked vehicles while attempting to leave the scene.

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 300 block of College Street. Investigation is pending.

Oct. 18

Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of D Street when Halloween decorations were taken.

Cody E. Davis, 18, was arrested on the 200 block of Sixth Street for MIP.

Oct. 17

Travis C. Rozelle, 18, was arrested on the 200 block of Sixth Street for MIP.

Ryan A. Wall, 19, was arrested on the 200 block of Seventh Street for MIP.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of Sixth Street. Gloves, a coat, a cell phone, and an emergency kit were taken from a vehicle.

Theft of services (dine and dash) were reported at Cheney Delights.

Paul R. Zielinski, 30, was arrested at Cheney Trading Company for third-degree theft/shoplifting when he was caught taking pumpkins.

Second-degree theft was reported at Mitchell's Harvest Foods. Cash was taken.

Michael W. Godwin, 21, was arrested at Mitchell's Harvest Foods for third-degree theft/shoplifting when he was caught taking beer.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of Sixth Street when miscellaneous papers were taken from a vehicle.

Second-degree theft was reported at Safeway. Incident is being investigated as a possible forgery.

A civil dispute was reported at the Cheney Police Department to mediate a dispute over some equipment.

Oct. 16

A 15-year-old male and a 15-year-old female were arrested at Cheney High School for fighting/mutual combat.

Oct. 26

Officers took a report of a juvenile who got mad at a family member and maliciously damaged property in the area of 13200 West 13th Avenue.

Dustin L. Bailey, 28, was booked into jail on two counts of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and was cited for third-degree DWLS in the 1400 block of South Albert Street.

Brittany C. Fields, 19, was arrested at Sunset Highway and Hayford Road for third-degree DWLS.

Oct. 25

Officers responded to 12th and Lawson, to Sunset Elementary School for an open door alarm. The building was searched and the door secured.

A suspicious person complaint was followed up by officers in the 900 block of South Beeman.

Police assisted Medical Lake Police Department on a shooting call in the 300 block of Lake Street.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of South Lawson Street for a person with a weapon call. It was found to be a neighbor showing a friend a rifle.

Bert T. Aikens, 54, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at Sunset Highway and Hayden Road.

Officers assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Department by investigating a two vehicle injury collision at Flint Road and Airport Way.

Police assisted Spokane Tribal Police by transporting James B. Curd, 29, and booking him into jail on a Department of Corrections escape warrant.

Kevin L. Smith, 51, was arrested for DUI in the 11900 block of Sunset Highway.

Oct. 24

Jarrad L. Plunkett, 41, was booked into jail on the charge of third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, at 12500 West 6th Avenue.

Police took a report of harassment. A subject in the area of 1700 South Lawson Street had been following the complainant and making rude gestures. Officers contacted the subject and advised to stop.

Jerrid M. Wilcken, 20, was booked into jail for assault fourth- degree domestic violence in 1400 block of South Albert Street.

Julie A. Spargue, 44, was arrested on Sprague Avenue at Airway Heights Corrections Center for third-degree DWLS.

Officers took a report of a juvenile runaway in the area of 1800 South Mintle Street.

Police were called to the 1400 block of South Albert Street for a report of a stolen vehicle.

Nicole L. Embler, 23, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at West and Sunset Highway.

Debra Y. Staudemayer, 38, was arrested at Sunset Highway and Hayford Road for third-degree DWLS.

Police contacted a possible DUI at Sunset Highway and West Street. The driver was not DUI.

Oct. 23

Officers received a report of a possible domestic violence assault from a third party that came to the police department. Officers will follow up with the possible victim.

Police responded to the 11000 block of Sunset Highway for a commercial alarm.

Officers were called to a non-injury accident at 21st and Hayford Road.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Lawson Street for a juvenile problem.

John D. Shoaf, 30, was arrested at Lundstrom and West 10th Avenue for third-degree DWLS.

Police were called to Campbell and Highway 2 for a report of a late 80's Firebird driving recklessly in the area.

Officers responded to the area of the 11000 block of Sunset Highway to follow up on a report of an audible alarm.

Police investigated several complaints regarding suspicious males in the area of Sunset Highway and Lundstrom and also in the area of 14th and Sunset Highway.

Oct. 22

A juvenile was contacted by officers at 21st and Lawson for smoking. The parents were advised.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Lawson Street for kids throwing rocks in the middle of the roadway.

An intoxicated subject at Highway 2 and Campbell Street was contacted by officers and transported to Sacred Heart Hospital at the subject's request.

Oct. 21

Officers responded to a two vehicle collision at 12th and Lundstrom.

Police were called to the 1900 block of Mintle Street for a report of two dogs mauling a cat.

Officers assisted Spokane County Sheriff's deputies with a hulk slip in the 11000 block of West Deno Road.

A Sheriff's deputy was assisted by officers at the 14000 block of Thorpe Road with juveniles with a history of violent behavior.

A juvenile assault on a parent and sibling was investigated by police in the 13500 block of West 6th Avenue. The juvenile was located and booked into juvenile detention.

Officers responded to a noise complaint in the area of 12900 West 19th Avenue.

Police assisted Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) by looking for an injured dog on the roadway. A large cat was found and SCRAPS advised.

Jeffrey M. Mathews, 25, was arrested for third-degree theft for an incident that occurred in May 2008 in the 11000 block of Sunset Highway.

Officers investigated a report of a burglary from a residence in the 13900 block of 13th Avenue.
