New owners at Medical Lake's Westside Pizza familiar with franchise

Since opening in early 2007, Medical Lake's Westside Pizza has become a lunch hour spot with the local high school crowd with its pizza-by-the-slice deals, and accessible downtown venue at 208 E. Lake St.

In August, former owner Jim Reed turned management and ownership over to local couple Russ and Suzette Hegney, who, along with daughter Desiree and two other staff, have spent the last several weeks settling into a routine with a goal to make the dining experience at Westside even more accessible, and offer more food choices to pizza-loving locals.
