Downtown offer kids activities on homecoming

As if Eastern Washington University's Homecoming events weren't enough, there will be new activities in downtown Cheney on Halloween night.

On Friday, Oct. 31 free candy and hot chocolate will be given to kids as part of Harvest Festival. Between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., participating downtown businesses will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters.

Cheney Delights will be serving free hot chocolate; Tree of Knowledge will have free popcorn and the Cheney Police Department will also be giving out candy from the trunk of a patrol car.
