Sept. 25

Domestic violence was reported on the 200 block of College Street. Dispute was verbal only.

Mershon L. Steggall, 20, was arrested on the 300 block of Fourth Street for minor in possession (MIP)

An agency assist was requested at Cheney High School. An interview was conducted on behalf of Airway Heights Police Department.

Bryan W. Prather, 22, was arrested on the 600 block of Second Street on a warrant from Spokane stemming from a third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) charge.

Shane W. Blakeley, 46, was arrested on the 400 block of First Street for driving under the influence (DUI).

Tracey L. Cooksey, 41, was arrested on the 400 block of First Street for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

Sept. 24

Financial fraud was reported on the 400 block of First Street when the unauthorized use of a debit card was discovered.

A 16-year-old male was arrested on the 600 block of Second Street for MIP.

Sept. 23

Residential burglary was reported on the 1600 block of Sixth Street. An acoustical guitar was taken.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 2800 block of Al Ogdon Way. A beige-colored mountain bike was taken.

A vicious animal was reported on the 100 block of First Street. The incident was referred to the animal control officer.

Harassment was reported on the 600 block of Villard Street when threatening calls were received.

Alyson J. Hitch, 19, Kaitlyn L. Chatten, 18 and Hector M. Aguila, 19, were arrested on the 2200 block of North Sixth Street for MIP.

Sept. 22

Second-degree theft was reported on the 100 block of First Street. Miscellaneous car parts were taken.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of Third Street. A green bicycle was taken.

An unattended hit-and-run was reported on the 300 block of B Street.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 100 block of Sixth Street. A car stereo and glasses were taken.

Sept. 21

John V. Silva, 20, was arrested on the 100 block of North Eighth Street for third-degree DWLS.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Fourth Street. A nail gun was taken from a vehicle.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 900 block of Third Street. A checkbook and CDs were taken from a vehicle.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 200 block of West Second Street. A subject was contacted and brought in for questioning. While at the police department they pulled a fire alarm.

Second-degree burglary was reported at Les Schwab Tires.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 800 block of Fifth Street. A tool box and stereo were removed from a vehicle.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of First Street. A GPS and a stereo were taken from a vehicle.

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 300 block of First Street.

Justin J. Schram, 22, was arrested on the 900 block of First Street for DUI.

Fred W. Danker, 35, was arrested on the 1100 block of First Street for DUI and first-degree DWLS.

Derek X. Ybarra, 19, was arrested on the zero hundred block of North Fourth Street for MIP.

Edgar Talavera, 19, was arrested on the zero hundred block of North Fourth Street for MIP.

Sept. 20

Second-degree theft was reported on the 800 block of First Street. An iPod, a camera and jewelry were taken from a vehicle.

William B. Morgan, 24, was discovered passed out in an alley on the 300 block of First Street. He was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear stemming from a fourth-degree assault arrest.

Sept. 19

Brandon Webber, 19, Rachael M. Drewery, 19 and a 17-year-old female were arrested on the 800 First Street for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

Recovered/confiscated property was reported on the 200 block of West Third Street when a bag containing marijuana and a marijuana pipe was discovered next to a large group of people.

A vicious animal (Black Chow) was reported on the 100 block of Holladay Drive. The incident was referred to the animal control officer.

Sept. 28

A notice of trespass was issued in the 700 block of East Lake Street.

Sept. 26

Received a report of a possible burglary in the 1000 block of East Lake Street.

A malicious mischief was reported, occurring in the 100 block of North Jefferson Street.

Received a report of a traffic collision at the intersection of Campbell and Stanley. 

Sept. 23

An informational report was taken at the police department in reference to an animal complaint.

A juvenile runaway was located, and taken into protective custody in the 200 block of East SR-902. 

James H. Wilson, 19, of Spokane was arrested for violation of a domestic violence order for protection in the 200 block of East SR-902.

Received a report of a possible assault, occurring in the 2000 block of South Salnave Road. The case is currently under investigation.

An officer initiated a traffic stop in the 500 block of East Campbell Street. Carlo M. Cerutti, 43, of Medical Lake was arrested for DUI, third-degree DWLS, and on two outstanding warrants. 

Sept. 22

A residential burglary was reported from the 800 block of East Barker Street.

A malicious mischief was reported from the 1000 block of North William Street.

An officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of SR-902 and Keene Road. Gordon W. Bash, 28, of Spokane Valley was arrested for third-degree DWLS.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

Sept. 28

Officers were called to the 800 block of South King Street to handle an unwanted guest in a private residence.

Police assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office with a traffic hazard near Basalt and Sunset.

Officers assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office at the 3300 block of South Ritchey with an injury accident.

Police assisted the Medical Lake Police Department with a domestic violence call.

Officers responded to the 100 block of North Hayford on a disorderly person call.

Samuel E. Brooks, 25, was arrested for third-degree DWLS.

Sept. 27

Police were called to the area of Highway 2 and Deno to assist the Spokane County Sheriff's Office on a report of a suspicious person.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Russell and Highway 2 on a complaint of a person bothering a local business.

Police assisted the Washington State Patrol with a vehicle collision near Highway 2 and Spotted Road.

Officers assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office on a trouble unknown call at the 15600 block of Highway 2.

Police responded to the area of 6th and Aspen for a possible domestic violence incident.

Edward J. Collazo, 22, was arrested for third-degree DWLS.

Brewster C. Handley, 21, was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Sept. 26

Officers investigated a suspicious circumstances complaint at the 900 block of South Lundstrom Street.

Police responded to the area of 10th and Lawson on a report of a fight in the area.

Officers assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office in tracking down a domestic violence suspect.

Sept. 25

Tracy L. Gibson, 41, was arrested for second-degree DWLS.

Police assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office on a domestic violence call.

Officers assisted the Medical Lake Police Department with a burglary in progress.

Sept. 24

Officers assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office in responding to a report of several people fighting.

Police assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office on a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers were called to the 14000 block of West Highway 2 to investigate a suspicious person report.

Police were called to the 13000 block of West 13th Ave to investigate a civil dispute.

Sept. 23

Police were called to the 13000 block of Highway 2 to investigate a vehicle prowling.

Officers were dispatched to the 12000 block of West 18th Street to investigate a report of theft.

Police assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office on a reported sexual assault.

Officers were called to an area near 15th and Campbell on a complaint of an out of control juvenile on a school bus.

Police assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office with a patient that was being combative towards medics providing assistance.

Officers responded to a report of domestic violence at the 1900 block of South Mintle Street.

Sept. 22

Officers assisted the Washington State Patrol with an accident near the intersection of Highway 2 and Craig.

Police were called to the 13000 block of West 6th Street on a welfare check. An individual was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment.

Officers were called to investigate a trespassing complaint at the 100 block of North Hayford Road.
