CHENEY

Sept. 18

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 2300 block of University Lane when weather stripping on a vehicle was damaged in an apparent break-in attempt.

Domestic violence was reported on the 600 block of Second Street. Dispute was verbal only.

Jarred M. Young, 22, was arrested on a warrant from Washington State Patrol stemming from a driving under the influence (DUI) arrest.

Sept. 17

A civil problem was reported on the 600 block of West Third Street when a dispute developed over a private party vehicle purchase.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the zero hundred block of Sixth Street. A request was made to review a driver with the Department of Licensing.

Harassment was reported on the 800 block of West First Street when annoying/threatening phone calls were received.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of Betz Road when cash was taken from a residence.

Trespassing was reported on the 1500 block of West First Street. Investigation is pending.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street when a pool cue was taken.

Matt McNamara, 25, was arrested for luring and communicating with minors for immoral purposes after a report was made at Cheney High School.

Sept. 16

Harassment was reported on the 2300 block of University Lane when threats were made.

Harassment was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street when threats were made by an ex-spouse.

Harassment was reported on the 300 block of North Third Street when threats were made by an ex-spouse.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported at the Cheney Food Bank when graffiti was discovered on the building.

Residential burglary was reported on the 3200 block of Normal Park Road.

A purple bicycle was found on the 300 block of Fourth Street.

A two-car collision with minor injuries was reported when an unattended vehicle struck a parked vehicle.

Sept. 15

Vehicle prowling was reported on the 800 block of West First Street.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 300 block of Second Street when a building was painted.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 500 block of Presley Drive when an iPod was taken from a vehicle.

A two-car, non-injury collision was reported on the zero hundred block West First Street.

Harassment was reported on the 800 block of Fifth Street when annoying/threatening phone calls were received.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of North Third Street when a campaign sign was taken.

Third-degree theft of services was reported on the 400 block of First Street.

Sept. 14

Third-degree theft was reported on the 700 block of West First Street when a GPS, a radar detector and a cell phone was taken from a vehicle.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 700 block of West First Street when a car stereo was taken from a vehicle.

Ivan R. Moreno, 19, was arrested on the 200 block of North Third Street for minor in possession (MIP).

Sept. 13

A social security card was found on the 800 block of Washington Street.

Third-degree theft of a vehicle was reported on the 700 block of West First Street. The 2005 Dodge Durango was recovered on South Dover Road.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 1100 block of Second Street. An iPod, videos games and a bicycle were taken.

Sept. 12

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the zero hundred block of West First Street when graffiti was discovered on a residence.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 400 block of Cocolalla Street when graffiti was discovered on a vehicle.

Sept. 21

A residential burglary was reported; occurring in the 800 block of East Barker Street.

Sept. 18

Received a report of an argument in the 200 block of West Miller Street.  

Sept. 16

Received a report of telephone harassment in the 200 block of East Barker Street.

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Jefferson Street on the report of domestic violence. Tina L. Hoisington, 41, of Medical Lake was arrested for second-degree assault/domestic violence.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

Sept. 21

Police responded to the area of 12700 West 13th Avenue on a 911 hang-up call.

Officers investigated an alarm at the 13000 block of West McFarlane.

Police assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Office on a stolen property call at 20500 W. Coulee Creek Rd.

Toohey, Donald L. 49, was arrested at Highway 2 and South Garfield Road for third-degree DWLS.

Mendoza, Benjamin, 23, was arrested for third-degree DWLS in the area of 11800 West Highway 2.

Police responded to the 12500 block of West 21st Avenue on a report of harassment.

A man reported a conspiracy to steal his money in the area of 100 North Hayford Road. Police investigated and no evidence was located.

Sept. 20

Officers assisted Horseshoe Bend Police in Idaho on attempting to contact a residence in the 12400 block of West 10th Avenue.

Leland W. Guthrie, 46, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at South Mintle and West 18th Avenue.

Andrew D. Johnson, 19, was arrested at Highway 2 and South Russell Street for third-degree DWLS.

Officers investigated a report of glass breaking in the area of 12800 West 13th Avenue.

Spokane County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Airway Heights officers at 1200 South Hayford Road on a collision.

An alarm in the area of 12800 West 12th Avenue was investigated by police. The building was secure. Officers were called there again an hour later and everything was still secure.

Sept. 19

Police assisted a motorist at Highway 2 and South West when his wheel fell off the vehicle.

Officers responded to 1900 block of West Mintle Street on a trespass call.

Police assisted Medical Lake Police Department on an accident in the 100 block of East Lake Street.

Officers assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Office locating an assault suspect in the area of West 6th and South Easy Streets.

Police assisted Spokane County Sheriff's Office on a rolling (in a vehicle) domestic violence call in the area of Government Way and Houston.

Franklin C. Blacker, 30, was arrested at Highway 2 and South Hayden Road for third-degree DWLS.

Matthew W. Wilson, 27, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at Highway 2 and South Hayden.

Police were called to the area of Mintle and West 18th Avenue for loud music. The party was contacted and the music was turned down.

A report of a vehicle speeding in the area of South Garfield Road and West McFarlane was investigated by officers.

A malicious mischief report was taken in the area of 1800 South Pogue for damage to a vehicle.

Sept. 18

Officers investigated suspicious circumstances at 12400 West Sunset Highway.

A commercial alarm was investigated by officers at 11300 West McFarlane.

Officers investigated a report of a vehicle prowling at 1800 South Pogue.

An abandoned vehicle was tagged and towed in the area of 700 South Horton.

A wallet was found in the area of 10800 West Sprague Avenue. The owner was contacted and the wallet returned.

Michael D. Johnson, 44, was arrested at Highway 2 and Garfield Road for third-degree DWLS.

Sept. 17

Police investigated a non-injury, non-blocking accident at Highway 2 and King Street.

Officers took a report of possible drug activity in the area of 1900 South Mintle Street.

A non-injury collision was investigated by officers at Highway 2 and South Hayford Road.

Richard L. Farnam, 69, was arrested at 1900 South Mintle Street for fourth-degree assault.

Steven J. Dilley, 48, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at West Chandler Court, and South Avalon Street

Police responded to an alarm in the 11400 block of West 21st Avenue. Everything was secure.

Sept. 16

Officers responded to 12500 West 21st Avenue on a property dispute.

Police assisted Airway Heights Fire Department on the 1900 block of South Mintle Street with an incoherent patient.

Officers assisted Medical Lake Police Department on a warrant arrest in the 100 block of South Walker Street.

A report from a third party regarding someone threatening their girlfriend in the 2000 block of South Campbell Street was investigated by officers.
