CHENEY

Aug. 29

Second-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 700 block of West First Street when damage to a vacant apartment was discovered.

Aug. 28

A vicious animal was reported on the 3000 block of Meadow Glen when a dog bit a child. The incident was referred to the animal control officer.

Third degree theft was reported at Cheney Trading Company when a blue bicycle was stolen.

Kim A. Scharnhorst, 22, was taken into custody at Cheney Municipal Court on a court commitment from a probation violation stemming from a minor in possession (MIP) arrest.

A red bicycle was found on the 1600 block of Villard Street.

A maroon bicycle was found on the 2800 block of Al Ogdon Way.

Eugene J. Haskins, 54, was arrested on the 300 block of G Street for fourth degree-assault/domestic violence and malicious mischief/domestic violence.

Aug. 27

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 600 block of First Street when a rock was thrown through a window in the library.

Kayla C. Whitchurch, 31, was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief on the 1500 block of Third Street when she threw a rock through the window of a residence.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 100 block of Pineview Place when railroad ties were stolen.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 2300 block of First Street when gas was stolen from a U-Haul.

Jessica, M. Victor, 22, was arrested on the 200 block of First Street for driving under the influence (DUI).

Aug. 26

A white bicycle was found on the 300 block of Cherry Tree Court.

A 16-year-old male was arrested at Mitchell's Harvest Foods for third-degree theft and MIP when he was caught stealing beer.

Joshua E. Hotelling, 21, was arrested on the 700 block of Front Street for unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

Aug. 25

Stephanie R. Brown, 27, was arrested at Mitchell's Harvest Foods for third-degree theft when she was caught stealing beer. She was also arrested on the warrant from Asotin County for fourth-degree assault and attempting to attain legend (prescription) drugs through fraud.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of Lincoln Street when a wallet was stolen from a vehicle.

A violation of a court order was reported on the 100 block of Washington Street. The incident was forwarded to the prosecuting attorney for review.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the zero hundred block of West Third Street when apples that were thrown at a house did damage.

Aug. 24

A 17-year-old male was arrested on the 200 block of West Second Street when he stole four knives. The juvenile was also arrested on a felony warrant from Arizona (where he had been listed as a missing person) for probation violation.

Residential burglary was reported on the 100 block of North Fifth Street. Nothing was taken.

Third-degree theft was reported on the zero hundred block of West Second Street when a wallet containing cash was stolen.

Aug. 23

Second-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 100 block of Fourth Street when a rock was thrown through a car window.

Montana L. Sanchey, 22, was arrested on the 1800 block of Seventh Street for trespassing.

A subject suspected of being mentally ill was contacted and involuntarily committed to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Aug. 22

Stolen property (vehicle license plates) were confiscated from a residence on the 800 hundred block of Salnave Road.

Aug. 31

An officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of Stanley and Fellows. Corey T. Smith, 21, of Medical Lake was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS).

David A. Guzman, 19, of Four Lakes was arrested for violation of a court order in the 1000 block of East Campbell Street.

Aug. 30

A theft was reported, occurring in the 600 block of East Kathy Lee.

A traffic collision was reported in the 1300 block of South Lefevre Street.

A malicious mischief was reported from the 300 block of East Fellows Street.

Aug. 29

A theft was reported, occurring in the 300 block of South Washington Street.

Aug. 28

Received a report of reckless burning in the 500 block of North Jefferson Street.

Aug. 27

Received a report of a second-degree theft in the 600 block of East Kathy Lee.

Aug. 26

Officers assisted Child Protective Services in the 1000 block of North Lefevre Street

Aug. 25

A traffic collision was reported in the area of Grace and Brower.

Received a report of a possible fraud.

Aug. 31

Jeremy L. Richardson, 33, was booked into jail on a Pend Oreille County felony warrant for assault.

Joseph C. Cellano, 24, was booked into jail on the charge of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, at 11200 West Highway 2.

Aug. 30

Clifford A. Sheppard, 36, was booked into jail for five Spokane Superior Court felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants. He was contacted at 100 North Hayford.

Todd A. Miller, 30, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at Highway 2 and Loffler.

Steven D. Nordlum, 19 was arrested at Highway 2 and Campbell Street for third-degree DWLS.

Tazshra A.M. Moon, 19, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at Highway 2 and Ziegler.

Aug. 29

William C. Hayes-Garcia, was arrested at Highway 2 and Russell for third-degree DWLS.

Aug. 28

John E. Rodenbaugh, 43, was cited for third-degree DWLS at Hwy 2 and Campbell.

Thompson, Karl L.57, a passenger in above stop, was booked into jail on a felony warrant for DOC Escape from community custody.

Megan V. Megan, 22, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at Hwy 2 and Hayford Road.

Aug. 27

Johnie E. Peterson, 35, was contacted at Highway 2 and Garfield Road for suspicious vehicle. Peterson was booked into jail for possession of someone else's hydrocodone.

Aug. 26

Joshua M. Warren, 20, was arrested for second-degree vehicle prowling at 12800 West 12th Avenue.

A theft report was taken at 12800 West 14th Avenue. A computer was taken from an unlocked truck.

Aug. 25

A dog bite was investigated by officers at 13700 West 12th Avenue.
