What started as a yard sale buy in 1975 has grown to a collection too big for his house.
Carl Schwenn, an electrician for the Cheney School District ,has such a large art collection he shares it by hanging it on the walls of the school district buildings. The collection has also got him a feature on the television show, Northwest Profiles.
The beginning of the collection was purely accidental.
He said he stopped at the yard sale of a woman living in a boxcar. Next to it, she had a tarpaper shack attached.
